Summit Heating & A/C

1st quote 4700.00 on the installation of a whole house fan. I called to question charges being that the fan to be installed I found at Home Depot for 839.00, and it doesn't pull much for amperage so why do I need to pay 950.00 for a new 120V dedicated circuit. I was told the charges would be looked into. New quote 3180.00. I received 2 other quotes for 2000.00. This is what being taken advantage of looks like.

A company that does the right work and that you can trust. Our first encounter was a heating issue - they were able to apply a simple fix, and recommended a new thermostat. Our second encounter was a checkup. We first contacted a company associated with the heater manufacturer - they said an motor leak required a new heater. Had Summit look at and they said "nope, that's normal". Then they let me watch them go through all of the appropriate checks - the heater is in good shape but will probably need to be replaced in a couple of years due to age. Our most recent encounter was we had them replace our heater and AC unit. Excellent work, clean install. Highly recommended.

Jason and Nate We purchased a top-of-the-line LENOX Furnace, Air Conditioner and Steam Humidifier from Summit Heating and Air. My wife and I would like to compliment the people who installed the units. The electricians did an excellent job putting the wiring in for the Steam Humidifier and also corrected some of the bad wiring outside that was installed by the builder. The primary installers, Jason and Nate were excellent. From the very start they introduced themselves and were extremely courteous to both me and my wife. Most workman that we have used in the past just ignore the questions that a my wife asked, but both Jason and Nate stopped what they were doing ands fully answered my wifes questions. They treated our home as if it were their own, putting down drop clothes and keeping it clean. We both appreciated Jason and Nate for their professionalism and their dedication to doing an excellent job of the installation. Bill and Patty

In 2019 Summit installed a new furnace, air conditioner and tankless water heater in my home, at a cost of $18,600. The installation was fraught with problems, including the wrong furnace being installed, the exhaust pipe for the water heater installed in a position that could cause the pipe to freeze in cold weather (potentially causing carbon monoxide to back up into the house), and the furnace intake vent installed in a way that made the furnace work harder than necessary to pull in outside air (the last problem caught by the county inspector). For my trouble, Summit offered me $100 refund on the installation. Instead I negotiated free maintenance for the life of the appliances. Fast forward to September 2023. After a Summit technician flushed the water heater I had no hot water. It turns out he forgot to turn the gas back on. That technician also insisted that flushing the water heater was not included in the negotiated free service and charged me $247, despite my showing him a letter from Summit confirming the agreement. When I spoke to supervisor J.T., he promised a refund. It's now been 3 1/2 months with no refund, despite leaving messages with Summit's receptionist and answering service specifically asking that J.T. contact me.
