Beautiful area with a small lake/marsh nearby. Watch out - this area is frequented by a brown black bear!

Great spot to stop for a quick break! The trail becomes much steeper from here on up!

Nice 3 tent spots saw some small, harmless snakes .

Beautiful campsite, nice and secluded from the trail. Saw a moose and her calf by the creek. Stayed mid july 2017.

Very quiet the night I was there, couldn't even hear the stream. Explore the area around the campsite to find beautiful overlooks.

Nice campsite. The short hike to Granite falls is worth the views. Very nice view of the meadow.

Not the best RMNP backcountry site I've seen but not bad. Also, the location on Google maps is wrong. It's actually located East of the grand ditch.

Great campsite overlooking the Big Meadow. It is maybe 1/2+ mile from trailhead which was unexpected. Truly beautiful spot.

A fantastic place at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park . We horse back ride and we love the views and the stories and the complete ambiance.

We visited the place in November which they are close but they let us stat within campgrounds and didnt charge us.

Perfect base for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park
