My 13 yo son was admitted in March of 2024. He had been at a hospital for 6 days prior to his transfer. Once he arrived at Mountain Crest, I had already spoke with staff about questions I had. They were very kind and patient but most importantly to me, they were empathic. This was a very tough situation for myself and my child. They made it easier. Mountain Crest had literally just reopened their adolescent unit. He was the only child they had for around 2.5 days. He was well taken care of. The Food was really good he said. The bed was comfortable. He had a private bathroom. He had access to a phone when they didn't have group or meals. I was Given an option to let him have his own cell phone, however I opted out of letting him have his own cell phone. He was never denied phone calls which put me at ease knowing that he can call with any concerns that he may have had. As far as staff went from nurses to care coordinators and doctors that prescribe medications, Everybody seemed to be very communicable. I spoke with the care coordinator and his Doctor daily about medications that they wanted to add or DC. Everybody was extremely kind and offered him as much support as they possibly could. I was pleased with the level of care he received from everyone. My son seemed to like all of the staff very well. I had no complaints on any of his care that was provided during his stay. He was actually saddened the day that I picked him up, Because he thought he had one more day there. The only thing that I wished could have happened better was more structured Activities. He seemed to have a lot of downtime in the evening, which made his time a little bit tougher as he wanted to call home quite often. And he should have been utilizing that time a little bit more effectively while he was there to work on skills that he needed. Discharge was very easy. And was pretty well planned out. However, insurance does push that they be released fairly quickly. He was at mountain crest for 5 days. I believe the only thing that I really did not appreciate what their visiting times and days are not very frequent. He was given 1 day to visit for a total of 45 minutes. No exceptions, even in the amount of time that a family may have to travel to visit their child. Which for us was a three hour drive one way, for a forty five minute visit. Overall this facility was pleasant and I'm thankful he was here. Thank you to all the staff that overlooked my son's care!

Great facility! And theyre very liberal in their medication management. Ive been suffering for over 10 years and I came across info about ketamine treatments. I brought it up to my DNP thru you guys and she instantly helped me get set up with the psychedelic clinic in Denver. She listens to every issue I have with patience. Shes seen me at my worst and at my best and still supports me and cheers me on. Im forever grateful for that. I also was told by her than Mountain Crest is moving to PVH in the near future and that they will soon offer emergency Ketamine infusions for actively suicidal patients in the ER, ECT, and eventually rTMS. Its very exciting news! Im curious to see how UCHealths collaboration with the new psychiatric hospital in town: Longview will be like. 10/10 would recommend in-patient care here as well. The outpatient clinic and inpatient clinic are literally just a few hallways apart from each other. Security measures are top notch in there with rapid response times to dangerous situations. I feel safe there.
