This Marriott is fantastic. You're not gonna get better service anywhere. Front desk was quick, courteous and knowledgeable at all hours. House keeping was great and last but certainly not least Ralph in the kitchen was sooo awesome. He went out his way to make sure we were ready to tackle the ski resort with a full stomach. Next time we're in town I am definitely booking here. This property gets an A+++

This hotel was comfortable and the price and location were perfect for our needs. The front desk staff were friendly and helped with recommendations for dinner. The rooms and pool were clean and well kept.
As many other reviews state Ralph was the highlight of our stay! He was so kind. He took the time to make our son a special waffle that he recommend with toppings from the yogurt bar and switched the tv to cartoons for our son to watch while he ate. We witnessed him offering the same care and attention to every other patron. When we go back to Durango we will definitely book here again as Ralph took this hotel from a nice place to stay to a memory!

Anticipating a nice stay in a Marriott property with good reviews, Im extremely disappointed with this one. Made reservations a week ago with bonvoy points for one of the nights to be free and the 2nd night on my card. The clerk doubled the amount of 230 dollars coming out to 460.00 dollars! For ONE night mind you. Incidentals was a term used by the 800# ! I was shocked!
I had set out 600 for the family emergency , two day trip 300 miles from home with my wife and 9 year old son. The young clerk had nothing to say except get with your bank. Too bad so sad in other words leaving me with 60 dollars left with my budget. Was told it would take 24-48 hours to recoup.
After 60 different stays and upwards of 15K spent at Marriott properties, as an arial fire fighter member, I will never stay at this property again.
Im not a Karen/Kevin, I just dont like being taken advantage of, when I was quoted 182.98 for everything. Very disappointing.

Hotel was great, clean and in itself. A Marriot...the difference is the staff! Sarah killed it at the front, very nice, warm and welcoming. Then come breakfast...I hadn't read about this previously, I experienced it then researched. They have what appears to be a true professional chef, Chef Ralph, who is so friendly and nice it at first might back you up. But he stays on it, refilling your drinks, offering you different foods, listening very closely and learning about you. I witnessed my second day, a guest enter the breakfast area, Chef Ralph changed the tv channel, then welcomed the guest "good morning sir, I have your coffee and your favorite program on", then proceeded to explain how he modified the "standard Marriot breakfast" with his special twist. Case and point, he modified the biscuit gravy to be "double smoked sausage green Chile gravy", to die for!! He really changes the home away from home feel and makes you feel like a millionaire. I am not sure what the hotel does to keep him but they have it figured out. He alone will be why I chose the hotel over and over. Chef Ralph, Sarah, and the rest of the Fairfield Durango crew, thank you and great job!
Noteworthy details: Chef Ralph, need I say more?? Those who know, know!
