I have had good results with CenturyLink. True GB up and down. Decent jitter. The installer was very good 2 years ago. Customer service is nice. My big issue is they advertised "price for life" but then sign you up for another plan that isn't "price for life". So the recent price increase is frustrating based on the bait and switch. Still better than Comcast in performance and price but not as good as webpass (which isn't available at my current location).

CenturyLink has to be one of the worst internet providers. I recently signed up for their internet service and now twice have had no call no shows. This is a joke of a company their time windows are from 9AM-5PM. From their customer service to their operations is ridiculous how painful of a experience is trying to give this company money for a service.

I hate centurylink. Dealing with them is a giant headache. My internet breaks all the time and they never get a technician out quickly. Today they sent a technician to the wrong house and then robocalled me and said service was complete and canceled the ticket. Now I still don't have internet and have to get help again. It's now 1:39pm and I've been on chat and calls since 8am trying to get help. They hang up on calls. They send techs to wrong address. They cancel tickets. Don't use them if u don't have to. They are the only fiber optic provider in my neighborhood. So I have to use them.

For a long time I used CenturyLink because they weren't Comcast/Xfinity. They were at least possibly marginally better even if only minimally better. That is no longer true. If we ever get a chance, please vote for municipal wi-fi so we can avoid dealing with these companies that do nothing but gatekeep Internet service built on our tax dollars.
If you stay with their service it is more expensive than for new customers. I encourage you to switch to a different provider for at least 6 months and then come back when you get the "new customer" deals again.
