Radisson Hotel Denver Central

What a dump. I know people spend money here, because the place had people staying in it. Maybe they should spend some of that money fixing broken elevators, broken doors, and torn curtains in the rooms. Don't stay here unless you like to be saturated with despair and self-loathing.

This location was my half way point while relocating from Sioux City, IA to Tucson, AZ. Denver was a nice place to lodge along the route. The place was easy to find, but a tad difficult to reach getting off from Interstate 25. The hotel had an abundance of parking places and is a stop for many travelers. I recommend being a Choice Hotel member when booking a room. Radisson/Country Inn have merged with Choice Hotel. (Pay attention for further information) The check in area was nice and had a mini market to purchase beverages, snacks, and treats and required a card or pay at the desk. Caleb has such a wonderful personality and is very helpful. The rooms are hit or miss. I have traveled here at least 5 times while moving. Some rooms are clean, stocked well, and have a nice tv and bed. Some of the rooms had drapes that were falling off or the air conditioner filter needed to be replaced. Some shower heads may need to be fixed. The laundry room is so-so. One unit needs to be repaired. Another doesnt spin the clothes completely. Bring quarters or you can get change at the front desk. The restaurant Teddys is nice. The dinner menu is pretty good. They have a nice/basic selection of adult drinks. The menu item I suggest is tacos! The steaks are good, burger is standard, nachos are filling, and the fish is alright. The dessert is nice. Choices are apple pie with vanilla ice cream or these wonderful churros! You can order through the phone so you can dine in your room. Hilary is fantastic behind the bar while attending to guests throughout the restaurant. The restaurant has lots of seating! FYI: The bar counter is not sticky due to uncleanliness, but the primer is wearing off. The staff know about it. Believe me they hear about it all the time. My only concern is that the staff and guests use the same elevators. It can be busy. When I went through the Denver Nuggets won the NBA Finals. So the bar can be busy with guests. Plus one time there was a wedding party. I recommend being a member so you get the free breakfast instead of paying. But pay attention because Radisson/Country Inn are merging with Choice Hotels. Breakfast selection was so-so. Not a fan of the eggs. Plus the food runs out fast. Get there early.

Nothing to complain about during my stay!! Everyone was kind. Room was clean.
