I respect the business. What I don’t respect is having my time wasted. I called here first to see what could be done to pawn my 2003 Saturn Ion. I was only asked to bring my title, an ID and a figure of how much I was looking to borrow. Didn’t think much of anything else. I really was looking to get cash as I was struggling because of COVID. Then, pay back the rest of what I’d get by next month after I’d get caught up. I filled up the tank of my car before I drove down still thinking I could pawn my car. Also, The address is extremely far from my house. About a 30 minute drive. I get to the address. You have to ring a doorbell before being seen. Not much a greeting or customer service but I can manage. My dads a mechanic after all. We awkwardly walk over to my car. Then, the questions start that should’ve been asked on the phone before I spent the money on gas and took the time to drive to this address. “What’s wrong with the car?” “What work needs to be done on it?” “How many miles does it have?” I answer all the questions honestly as you should with a car that someone is looking to give you money for. The one thing the guy told me is that the miles were too much and he couldn’t take it. Now, I get it. The miles are too much. It’s a bit of a risk to pawn it incase I can’t get it out and he has to sell it. Why wasn’t I asked that first before I took time to drive down here? It’s my first time pawning a car. It’s embarrassing for me to even be pawning my car to get money in the first place. On top of it. I was already strapped for cash thinking that I would get something out of this. Even if it was small. My feedback to the business. Ask more questions before someone does this. That goes double for anyone thinking of driving here. I walked away so upset, embarrassed, and the guy could really care less. Do not recommend going here if you are thinking of pawning your car. Consider your options and most importantly your money before going here. Stay safe.

I recently pawned my vehicle at Cycle City, my due date was 26 June to pick it up or pay for another month the $100 fee. I planned on paying the full amount and picking up my vehicle on 1 July when I got my check. I knew, according to my contract with George that I was still inside my 10 day grace period, that 1 July didn’t incur any additional fees..and the original cost to pick up my vehicle was the same, $600 dollars.. I went to pick it up and George told me it would cost me $700 He did not honor the 10 day grace period, leaving me in a bind and if not for a friend loaning me the extra $100 dollars, I would have been totally screwed.. I trusted George, as the owner of Cycle City Pawn to honor the full contract, including the 10 day grace period but he didn’t.. I would never trust him or his “auto pawn” business again and neither should anyone else.. Go to Massa Auto pawn instead..... they are honest in their dealings and they honor the 10 day grace period!
