Macy's Backstage

I bought a sofa from this Macy's November 18, 2019. Lana was the salesperson. She talked me into a worrynomore protection plan. Lana told me if I didn't use it I could get a voucher for the amount I paid to use anywhere in the store. The price was $198.00. My warranty will be up next year. But Lana told me I could cancel at anytime for the voucher. I had to sell the sofa as I became allergic to the feather sofa. So, today I call up Macy's and worrynomore to get back my voucher. Macy's said I had to wait until 90 days before expiration to get my voucher and I could only use it in the store I bought the sofa and oh, only for furniture or rugs?! I explained I didn't live there anymore and wanted to use it online. No, it doesn't work that way, I was told by Nikki. I asked why they advertise that the protection moves with you etc. Nikki's reply, it can only be used at original store bc of bar codes used. I then asked for the worrynomore protection phone number. Alex was unhelpful as well! You can't cancel. I don't have the sofa, if I cancel I can't use the plan. Nope you have up to 90 days After the plan expires to get a voucher and how Macy makes you use it is up to them. So, is it 90 days before or after? Who is right? All I know is everywhere I look people are complaining of things not being fixed or not receiving their vouchers! Shame on Macy's for lying to their customers as if this was/is a win win option. You can have your sofa cushions replaced or get back your money for the protection you didn't use. Macy's worrynomore protection is a lie and a scam. Don't buy it as it is a useless option and yes, they just scammed more money from you!

Macy's Backstage is a great opportunity to find nice stuff from small gifts to some clothes and fancy bags, love this store for shopping

Store is clean prices are good you usually find whatever your looking and the staff is nice
