This review comes a year after Jeff himself "fixed" my garage door. My garage is full of storage and is opened and closed on a regular. When it snows and then melts the garage door freezes to the concrete. This tension caused a cable to come off of the pulley. But the all knowing Jeff reported that my items obstructed the doors path This is not the case and I rent so I was charged for this.Tried to reach out last year and never heard back. This guy is a tool go ELSEWHERE. He also thinks he's too good for a tip since he owns the business. You said my items obstructed the doorTHEY DID NOT the door froze to the concrete... had you mentioned that I wouldn't have been charged and you did take the tip!

Personally, I prefer to hire small-businesses and local contractors to best do my part to support the community and that's why I chose J's Overhead Doors initially. Stephanie was a delight to talk to and she was very accomodating to find a time to get me on their schedule while working around my limited availability. I hit the jackpot when Jeff came to help fix my garage (I, admittedly, tried to do it myself on multiple occasions to no avail before hiring J's Overhead Doors). He was able to explain to me what I had been doing wrong, was able to get everything up and running for me, provided me with the parts I needed (even though I'd told him I had everything... or so I thought) and even helped me to carry in an Amazon package just to be kind. He was pleasant, polite, helpful, punctual, friendly, and even the dogs took a liking to him which is a win in this house! I would highly recommend this company.

As a Realtor/Broker, It's difficult to find tradesmen who are 5 stars CONSISTENTLY!! Always easy to communicate, schedule and discuss what the issue is and what potential solutions are. Beyond repairs, it's who I recommend to clients who are looking for custom doors/operators to meet their unique needs. It's rare to have somebody's card I can hand out and absolutely guarantee they will take care of my clients and coworkers. I will ALWAYS recommend J's Overhead.
