A very warm and welcoming team headed by Dr. Wendy Terry. We came to Dr. Terry after waiting 3 months as we coped as best we could with the help of our beloved vet with Carina's (our dog) acute skin condition. Although Dr. Terry was honestly not able to provide us with a diagnosis (as yet) her caring, thorough, spirited scientific approach resulted in providing Carina with immediate relief. Dr. Terry also answered all our questions fully to our satisfaction. Not to mention caring , immediate, curious, and competent follow up. thank you so much Dr Terry and your team. We are very grateful. Carina before treatment. Now no need for the "blue tube" Thanks Dr. Terry!

We had seen so many other doctors and reached out to all of our resources before we met Dr. Terry and felt hopeless. Our 2 yr old English Cream had been fighting a lot of allergy issues that were severely affecting her life. The first time we met Dr. Terry, we were floored! She is so knowledgeable, totally started from scratch (which we needed and wanted), and gave us a very specific treatment plan. She talked short term goals and long-term goals. We had other doctors diagnose parts of what our girl was going through, it was barely the surface of the root issues. Before Dr. Terry we were through many bandaid fixes and it never felt right. We IMMEDIATELY made changes in our girls day to day life, implemented the treatment plans, did very close watching, and have kept in extremely close contact with Dr. Terry. Ill never forget when we met her and she said how important communication is for a successful treatment and outcome. She has kept her word times a million. She answers every single question and explains everything so thoroughly that I am pretty sure shes a scientist on the side of being a heaven-sent Dermatologist. On our second appointment with Dr. Terry, she was going through our girls' follow-up exam and immediately noticed something that was off. I am talking about a size of a teardrop. She asked me about it and we talked about how I have brought this up to other specialists and they said it was normal lady things. She is so humble and didnt get into that but sent it to the lab for testing. A few days later results in which confirmed her suspicions. We have altered our treatment plan, again, I got an EXTREMELY thoughtful, explanation, careful directions, and instructions and she again answered my 8 million concerns and questions. Without any judgment (which I have received many times because It's been very scary trying to figure this out). The time and care she puts into her patients are outstanding. I could write pages and pages more on how much I would recommend Dr. Terry. She has given so much life back to our girl in which we could never thank her enough. I have thankful tears as I am writing this because she has changed our lives. Our family is SO lucky to have found her. Ive thought about how fortunate we are to have been on this earth at the same time as her because of how special she is. I also want to mention the front office staff, Trisha. Every time I call and email, she is very prompt, kind, responsive, and informative. It makes a huge difference knowing youre being taken care of. Thank you Dr. Terry and the staff at D4A Walnut Creek!

We have been going to Dermatology for Animals for years. The staff is generally friendly and the doctors are caring. The prices are outrageous. I have paid each and every single bill, thousands of dollars without a complaint. Recently, I called to get a re-fill for shampoo, skin foam and inquire how much the tincture was to refill. The lady on the phone took my credit card and said she would call me back with the quote. She never called back and I saw a charge on my credit card for $614. I called and left two messages to correct the billing charge that was unauthorized. I never received a call back and finally got someone on the phone yesterday. They said they would try to cancel the order but if it was shipped from the lab there was nothing they could do. They called me back and said the order was shipped and they could not cancel it. Essentially, making my family responsible for a $614 charge that we never authorized. Huge bills from DFA are nothing new. But in the past they have asked for our approval/authorization upfront. This is incredibly disappointing and a horrible way to operate a business. Again, in our years long relationship, I have never disputed a bill from DFA. This one will be fought through the credit card company and I will go to small claims court if necessary. You should never take advantage of customers in this way. The trust has been broken and we will be finding a new dermatologist for Teddy. We gave DFA two calls yesterday to make this right and they refused. Frustrated, taken advantage of and highly disappointed, Rachel and Adam

One of my girls has had bad allergies since we rescued her 3 years ago. It is mostly paws chewing and ridiculously stuffed nose and sneezing. A few months ago we went to see a new vet at D4A after the initial unsuccessful visit 3 years earlier. She seemed very nice and knowledgeable and truly wanted to help Romi. She sat up a plan of what to do and assured me that any time there are any problems, I can reach her by email or call and leave a message. Problems started almost immediately with the combination of meds. I've called and sent numerous emails and would get responds 2-3 days later. I could NEVER speak directly to the doctor. Everything was done through a 3rd party. Nothing helped my dog, although, we've been super diligent about the change of her diet and taking the meds on regular basis. After hundreds of dollars and time and pretty much starving my dog on a diet She didn't like, I sent an email that I need to speak to the doctor and that nothing helps. It's been WEEKS and I still didn't get a response. Yesterday I received an email to confirm our follow up appointment which I canceled because I do not trust these heartless people. And today I only received a response about the cancelation which merely stated that "your appointment has been canceled"!

We are over the moon happy with Dr Terry and her staff! We took our silver lab pup there because he was having severe skin issues. He had already been placed on many treatments including steroids to treat it and we were really at our wits end. Dr. Terry prescribed a comprehensive treatment plan for our pup that did NOT include steroids (YAY!) and after completing the plan, our pup is now 100% clear of his skin issues! Our pup is a little anxious at the vets because of all his vet visits, and Dr Terry and her staff really showed alot of patience with him. I cannot say how much this has meant to us! We've been dealing with his skin issues for about 8 months and to have him finally free of it is such a relief, for our pup and us! If I could give them 1,000 stars I would!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
