image Predatory business practices and bad contracts.
Account managers and service department don't communicate.
Phones go down randomly for long periods. Phone support takes hours to contact a human, and when you finally get someone willing to help, there's a $25/call fee (which they can raise if it "takes longer than expected").
0/5 would be an improvement of my opinion after being stuck with this company for about two years.

image We were a long term customer of Telepacific for phone service. We decided to move to VOIP and worked with our internet provider to provide the service. After deciding that the internet provider had a better solution, we notified Telepacific that we wanted to terminate service. We asked several times to be informed of any cancellation costs associated with the service termination. We were informed there were no contract cancellation costs. A month after we cancelled the service, we received an invoice from Telepacific that indicated we owed $4000 in cancellation fees. We called our rep and Telepacific accounting and requested documentation to prove we owed the cancellation fee. They have provided nothing and immediately turned the account over to a collection agency. After repeated attempts to get any documentation from Telepacific with no results, we have filed a claim with the California Public Utilities Commission (agency that regulated telecom companies in California) against Telepacific for abusive business practices. They clearly have made a practice of this type of behavior. I would strongly encourage new customers to find another telecom provider that wants to compete on service rather than fraudulent business practices.

image After 16 years as a customer (Telepacific acquired several companies including the original service provider we used for internet service), our building is offering internet as part of the lease. We are paying nearly $500/mo for a business DSL service and had an annually renewing contract. Now that the service is included in our rent, there is no reason to continue with TelePacific. We called our account rep several months in advance of this switch to discuss how to handle and were told that the annual auto-renewal would not take place and to simply call with a cut off date. 3 months later, we sent an email to disconnect and they want one last monthly payment and will not stand by what they told us. We made the request through employee who was not the original person associated with the account (from many years ago) and had to wait several days (yes....days) for them to approve that person. After those days, they still won't even honor the date of the original termination notice and want to use the date after that person was approved.
I know reselling the AT&T network is a tough business, but treating your long-term customers in this manner is just terrible. I'd advise anyone thinking of using TelePacific to look elsewhere.
