I do not recommend this UPS store. I got a P.O. box here because they indicate/advertise they will check your mailbox for you to let you know if you receive mail. I called last Friday afternoon, and the female who answered the telephone put me on hold. After ten minutes of holding I called back. Today is thursday, and I have called very regularly since the female put me on hold last week, and nobody has answered. You just receive their voicemail, and they do not return telephone calls. I don't recommend at all. Store is also messy/dirty, and you can't print pdfs in color on their copier.

Convenient and easy-to-use UPS shopping. It's located in Palos Verdes Mall, which is a small little shopping center in an otherwise residential area. Not a lot of traffic and hassles getting in or out, and this particular location isn't really busy so the service efficiency is very good. And it is just as good as going to any other UPS shipping location.

I recently went to The UPS Store and purchased a box that was labelled 48x10x10, packed it with my items to ship, and estimated the weight to be 11lbs. I went to the UPS Store website where I received a shipping estimate of $32.67. I then went to The UPS Store where they said the measurements were 49x11x10 and the weight was 9 lbs, 2 oz. and that the cost would be $64.52. Apparently, a significant amount of the difference had to do with the box being measured at 49 instead of 48 along with some store specific pricing. The manager seemed to be fixated on explaining why the stores pricing was appropriate and did not seem to feel that my concerns were relevant. Those concerns were: 1) it does not seem right to sell me a box labelled as 48, but charge me a shipping rate of 49 (the box was not bulging), 2) if I were to be charged for shipping a 49 box rather than the 48 box that they sold me, then I would expect the price differential to be some sort of reasonable incremental difference. Not double the price. I left and went to a different The UPS Store where they shipped the box at 48 in length for a price very close to the estimate online. Switching stores saved me $32.
