Staff are HORRIBLE. For psychiatry I expected even more and got below less. Shame that he is a good Dr. but will never be ok to have your staff be so rude.

Dr. Barza is one of handful of addiction specialists in Bay Area. I found him in the website of American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP), after failing to find a decent psychiatrist for a while. Thanks to him and my therapist, I have kept sobriety for about 5 months now. My depression is getting greatly better. He is not like many other psychiatrists who will talk to you for 5 minutes and already finish judging everything about you. He has great bedtime manner. One time I called him for help without making appointment because of my sudden anger issue and he gladly helped me. He is dedicated, caring, considerate and knowledgeable. He is a kind of doctor who gives you all the details about the medication you are taking, and answers all the questions if you have any.Too bad it's very hard to find him since he doesn't advertise himself in websites like Psychology Today. Had I not visited AAAP website, I would've never found him. But I guess he doesn't need any advertisement, because all his patients would do that for him voluntarily, like myself.
