Terrible gastrologist as she says she will not do colonoscopy in hospital as she makes more money using Surgicical centers and can do five or more a day rather than 1 day in inpatient hospital. She told me to go back to doctor I used over 6 years ago at outpatient surgery center.

Both my husband and I have seen Dr. Zamani for routine colonoscopy and five year follow ups for over 10 years. We are always pleased with Dr. Zamani's interactions with us and his overall professionalism. We would recommend him to family and friends. Al and Linda L

This guy should be stripped of his license to practice as a GI specialist. I almost died due to his and another surgeon's lack of attention & care for their patient(s). All he cares about is to perform a endoscopy/colonoscopy every 20 minutes or less. my case started in Jan. 2020 when due to severe stomach aches an urgent care doctor found gall bladder stones to be the cause. Following up with Zamani, he confirmed gall bladder removal was in order. The surgeon (Diane Kwan) removed the gall bladder but left some stones in my bile duct-immediately after the surgery my old excruciating pains started- I was injected with Zantac, but that didn't do anything. At the end of the day I was released from the Walnut Creek John Muir Medical Center with severe pain. The severe pains continued-Kwan ordered a stomach fluoroscopy to check my stomach - nothing was wrong per that test. I turned to Zamani and asked why I continue having the same severe pains as before the surgery- he wasn't sure- then I asked may be my gall bladder should not have been removed- he didn't have an answer.... He suggested an endoscopy which took a few months to schedule due to COVID, while my severe pains and calls and complaints for some action continued. Finally, in May 2020 (about 4 months after my surgery and continuing excruciating pains) I was up for endoscopy- Zamani, in a rush to get it over with didn't even care to examine or ask me where my stomach hurt, even though this was the first opportunity for me to be seen in person. The next day he called me to report the "good news " that there was "nothing wrong with me", and everything looked excellent!!! I asked why I continued to have this horrible pain- he said it could be bloating......He gave me an in person appointment for a week later. Well, for the next 2 days I endured excruciating pains and my body temperature dropped drastically- my wife came home from her work and tried everything to warm me up, but didn't succeed. I told my wife that I was going to stand the pains till I see Zamani- she argued that I needed immediate attention- my body couldn't be warmed up no matter how hard she tried. She called a telephone doctor and was informed that I needed to go to the ER immediately. After controlling my pain with morphine and a simple blood test in the ER, my pancreas enzymes level was about 40 times higher than the maximum allowed! To make a long story short, the leftover stones in my bile tube were blocking the bile fluid causing a major back up in my system. I had to go under a procedure to flush the stones, which were the cause of my pain from the very beginning.... Conclusion: Both supposedly "doctors " with specialty did not consider or think of the possibility of blockage during the many months of my enduring excruciating pain - only did the expensive procedure, proudly announcing that there was nothing wrong! Him and Kwan both deserve -10.
