I contact Dr. Tarder's office for a consult and they were able to schedule a consult prior to my insurance expiring due to employment. I very much appreciated them being so accommodating. Dr. Tarder called me on a weekend as he had a scheduling conflict to talk through what I was experiencing and scheduled me for a colonoscopy. He had good bedside manners on the phone and I was charged a office visit for this. The experience became stressful when I was fasting and wasn't able to get the medication needed prior to getting the colonoscopy. I called multiple times and left voicemail for the front office. It wasn't until 5pm the day before that they said I could drive 40+ min to get the medication from their office so I canceled my next morning appointment. There were multiple attempts from the office and Dr. Tarder to get me in first thing next morning but I had lost trust in their ability to give me proper care. I got a second opinion at a different John Muir location. This gastro told me that I didn't need a colonoscopy but can do something less invasive.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Tarder for over ten years. Dr. Tarder is not only a professional in his field, hes also a very patient, kind and caring doctor. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and answers your questions. His bedside manner is unmatched. As someone with a family history of colon cancer, I truly appreciate the preventative care that my family and I have received from Dr. Tarder.

DR. Tarder was referred to me by my Gyn of 35 years. Dr. Tarter was very thorough with my endoscopy. He was able to put my mind at ease in regards to a previous diagnosis of a Hiatal hernia from another doctor. He is a very kind doctor and takes his time with you. I would highly recommend him.
