Astro Motel

If you have seen not great reviews - trust me they are wrong and out of date. Astro is a hidden Gem in Santa Rosa. The Astro has it all from cool vintage appointed rooms with updated fixtures to a variety of spacious courtyard of Fruit trees and calm sitting areas, to a great breakfast and community room with a Vending machine with Etsy style gifts. Location is superb walk one block to the Arts district, walk a across the street to a cool park with people walking dogs and toddlers celebrating birthdays- a couple blocks afterward and you are in Downtown - Go west a couple of block and you in the new railroad district. Whats not to love, there is even a great Mural on the back of the building

Our experience in a pet room with our dog was really good. The floor is polished concrete and the room was relatively sound proof. The free breakfast is very light but nice that it's offered. The decor is fun and there's lots of places to chill outside. Despite the 80s look we found the rooms to offer modern amenities. I will say, beware tall people. In the rooms and common spaces are various light fixtures hung such that anyone over 5'10" are probably going to hit their head.

Love the Retro Style. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean & quiet. Heater was all or nothing (fan/motor constant) but once room was warm we shut it off till morning & stayed warm enough. The breakfast/lounge room was quirky with lots of games & bar area. Landscaping on the property was also nicely done. The park next door was great for walking our dog. Definitely will stay here again!!!
