Hotel La Rose

Cozy historic hotel in downtown Santa Rosa. Decently well maintained, though certainly feels old. Front desk staff was not great, stuck to the most basic service when checking in, and didn't bother saying good morning when we came downstairs. Nothing bad, just nothing great either. Would stay here again for the price and location.

We had a terrible night here. First off, they put us in the property across the street from the building featured in the photos. The windows and door to the balcony are so old they dont seal when you close them, so the noise from the busy road just outside is so loud every motorcycle and truck that drove by woke us up. Apart from that, the WI-FI speeds are unusable (1.3 Mbps download speed) and they only had one nightstand for our king size bed. The only positive thing I can say is the rooms were clean and they gave me a refund for the next night when I told them I would be leaving to stay somewhere else. I would recommend staying nearly anywhere else if you value sleep.

I never write reviews but I was so angry after staying here. I wasnt feeling well so the last thing I wanted was a visitor- but I was forced to allow the maintenance guy inside my room to fix the smoke detector??? Took him about 30 minutes well Im on my deathbed. Extremely rude and inconsiderate . Never had this happen to me. Also when I checked in the lady was extremely rude. The other front desk ladies were cool, it was just the lady that checked me in the first night.
