Halford Gardens Apartments

Halford Gardens is a great place to stay if you work at Sunnyvale/Santa Clara. Nice apartments which are well lit and well ventilated with beautiful landscaping are indeed the hallmarks. The management is excellent with maintenance and feedback. Lily is very gracious and prompt. Julie is hands on whenever you need help with your apartment. and we appreciate their excellent service

Moved out after 3 and 1/2 years of living here as I had to change my location because of my job. I was quite surprised that I got almost all my deposit back, mostly because I don't like to clean and would rather pay for a service provider to do it, but I am glad I did not pay for my own cleaning service because they told me my apartment cleaning charges were waived due to the length of my tenancy. I probably should have removed the screws I put in the walls and/or patch holes as they did charge me for that, see picture they provided me when I asked about it

We've been living at these apartments for a little over 4 years now and have overall been very pleased with the stay and help that we get here.

wE had previously stayed here for almost 1.5 years and Halford was a great place to stay. We left because we needed to be closer to work. Pros: 1) Property management have been very responsive with maintenance requests. We've have them come in to blown light bulbs, pest control and water heating issues. The maintenance manager, takes personal pride in keeping the place well-maintained and that shows in his timeliness and proactiveness in fixing issues. 2) They are more than happy to help with packages during offices hours which is appreciated 3) The pool is clean and well-maintained. There are 3 in the complex with spas which means they're generally not crowded. 4) Location. It's close to El Camino Real which means you have access to the largest Korean supermarket in the Bay Area down the road (Hankook) and a lot of restaurants. It's also a short walk to bus stops and the Caltrain. 5) Clean. The apartment interior is well-kept with good paint jobs. Cons: 1) When I first came here we had to pay by paper check but in now have a basic website to electronically pay rent and file maintenance requests. 2) Gym has limited equipment. 3) No locked garage. You get assigned a carport space. 4) No gated access. Unfortunately the place has no gates surrounding the community (only for communal amenities like the pool and gym),
