Rancho Santa Fe Thrift & Loan

My husband Co signed for a loan for someone. This was nearly 11 years okay. Had no idea that the person never followed through. Now in 2016 they decide they want to sue us. My husband just had surgery and this is very stressful, after all these years they come at us like this. We have had no contact at all with them since 2006, we have limited income, but they didn't bother to contact us. Just serve us. Will never Co sign again.

I don't know what to say about this company. Co signed for someone in 2005, their car got repo, we didn't know. Now it 2016 and they come after us. We are barely making it and they wanted to garnish wages. We filed a hardship but they don't care. They took double  what they said , dont no how are we going to pay our bills. We never been garnished ever and we in our 60's. They couldn't find the original  person owed. They never asked us what we could pay. Now we in a bind, but I'm sure they don't care.

I contacted the Rancho Santa Fe Thrift & Loan to see if they offered any options for consumers. The conversation was very brief as the salesman told me there were no options other than commercial lending. I tried to get some more information but was told that mortgage and auto loans were not available at this particular thrift and loan association. I saw on Yelp that some people received auto loans through a dealership from this bank but it doesn't seem that is possible anymore.

Received one of our car loans from this place while financing through the dealer.  Not a real big operation, but they were able to finance us conveniently enough.  Rates aren't great and they haven't been able to offer a refinance plan.  We probably won't stay with them too much longer if we can help it.  The staff in the front office are really nice though.  I've interacted with many of them on various occasions and they've all been very helpful. I can't say I've had similar interactions with some of the staff in the back via phone.  They tend to be more short with their customers for some reason.  Maybe because they don't deal with them face to face.
