Coward Principal who lets kids with disabilities get beat up. When you ask for help he talks about how great him and his school is.Look at the grounds. The playground has had plywood covering the slide that is destroyed for over a year.My son has disabilities and we asked for her and they did nothing. He was assaulted every day by older kids on the playground and the worthless school recess staff watched as it happened and did nothing. The other kids had to stop it. This happened Every day but onez my kids where there and to both kids. I called the principal and he just talked over me because he's such an arrogant jerk he barely let me get a word in edgewise. My son with disabilities was put in general education 1st grade and the teacher told the kids because of his disabilities, if he hurts or touches you you come to me. This led to kids hitting him in the back of the head and antagonizing him until he would react and then he'd get in trouble for reacting. The  teacher. Felt it was important to tell her about his difficulties because of his disabilities in front of my wife in front of all three parents, embarrassing both her and my son. The next day when dropping off my so I heard a kid say about my son say "that's the weird causes trouble" to his dad. When I brought this up to the principal he dismissed it and then said I'll keep an eye out.  The last day my son was there the big kid twisted his ankle trying to break it, threw him off the slide and kids helped him again. No adults helped. My other son cooperated this story with me and cries to this day because he was so ashamed for not helping his brother out and told us how when his brother walked back to class another kid punched him in the stomach and finally a real jerk of an employee blew a whistle and yelled at my son to get up. After discussing this with the principal this incentive, jerk of an human being who should not be working at school said well that's a kids point of view. You have a ton of cameras look at them..the principal should resign, be investigated or be fired. The school treats disabled kids like a problem and as a parent I'm still furious. You should all be ashamed of yourselves just pathetic.Anyone reading this should consider long and hard if you want to bring your kid here.m.especially if your kid has ADHD or on the spectrum. The school does not have the resources and made it clear they do not care.I really hope the principal can sleep at night knowing how much damage and disservice he's doing to these poor kids

I have had my own adult children go through schools in SVUSD, but have to say I have been so impressed with this little school! My granddaughter attended this school for Kindergarten. I am grateful for teachers here. They care so much about each student and their families. My granddaughter is so happy and can't wait to go to school each day. I enjoy going to their family nights as well.

My Son with a learning disability was made a target by his teacher. In addition he was getting harassed and beat up every day on the playground. The final straw, was his last day, when not only was he thrown on the ground by a much older kid but that kid who grabbed his foot and was pulling back on his ankle while my son screamed. A group of kids thankfully helped him out and helped him up no thanks to any adults out there at the time.Another kid shortly after punched him in the stomach and then an adult blew a whistle and yelled at my son to get up. I have 2 kids and my younger son was so afraid of getting hurt all he could do was watch and tell us his version of what happened which was identical.When we reached out to the Principal he made excuses every time and say well that's from a 6 year olds perspective. He defended his staff and just seemed to like to hear himself talk and not let you get a word in. He refused to let us transfer our son to another class and said anywhere else in the district would be the same setup. They did not have all day special education.Just a horrible experience and hopefully not too traumatic for my kids. I am hoping I got them out in time before the damage was done.My poor kids. I totally regret enrolling them here. It s only because covid seemed to be getting better and I wanted them back in a social setting.

We love Del Lago! We are about to finish our fourth year here and I have zero complaints. Every teacher has contributed to our children's growth in different ways. When our son was accepted into the GATE program this year we had the opportunity to transfer to a different school. When weighing the options we chose to stick with Del Lago.  We have had teachers who show individual care for each student and have been willing to connect with us when we felt the need. Our teacher this year, Mrs. Corlett, uses the Class Dojo app which has been AMAZING. We feel like we are in the class with the students... we see photos, we can comment on what they're doing during the day, see how the teacher is holding the students accountable and then connect with our kids about specific behaviors after school. It has really made us feel like their education is a team effort and we don't have to wait until parent/teacher conferences to know what is going on. Thanks Mrs. Corlett and I really hope that more of the teachers utilize this awesome tool! All in all, I love our little school and all that every member of the staff, from principal to office staff, Mr. Jeff and of course, the teachers contribute to our community. Looking forward to the next 6 years there!
