Annabelle gave me the perfect short hair style I was looking for. She heard what I wanted, explained what she would do, and checked in with me to ensure I was happy at the end. I'll be coming back again!

For years I chose to grow out my natural hair to be able to cut and donate it to Wigs for Kids (personal preference as they do not charge their cancer patients for their wigs). But now being a mom of an almost four year old, I wanted to give my hair one more make-over. With the exception of haircuts, I havent had anything done to my hair in over a decade and was super anxious. I passed by Special FX and did my research. Every wonderful thing that has been said about Meghan has held true. I showed her photos of what I liked and she educated me through every decision from product use to how light I should go without feeling overwhelmed, AND without damaging my hair. She was light-hearted and super easy to talk to, but you could also tell she takes her craft very seriously. The final reveal spoke volumes of her expertise AND her teaching skills to her associates. Not joking when I say my eyes were tearing up from joy when they turned my chair around! Her assistant Rachel was the sweetest as well. So accommodating, easy-going, and open to learning and receiving feedback from Meghan. Some people might feel worried seeing someone kind of being trained but it actually made me feel more comfortable, at ease, and confident in what they were doing. Straight up team work! Alyssa (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was super helpful and friendly upon check-in. You could just feel the good energy throughout the entire salon. The space was welcoming and clean, and every person you interact with made you feel like you were the most important person there. Like you were a friend. I wanted a hairstyle that was low-maintenance (several trips coming up and a wedding) but I seriously just want to go back to sit in a chair and hang. Thank you so much for a really wonderful experience! As a mom, I dont get out too much but this was such a relaxing and fun day out for me. Services: Haircut, Blowdry, Balayage
