At a time of feeling somewhat surreal, my husband and I found Santa Clara Funeral and Cremation staff professional, kind, calming and extremely helpful in the paperwork completion and decisions to be made.  What info we could not remember, we were told it was ok to call in later...no stress was imposed, casual conversation ensued and we received timely results.

Giving 5-stars because we got what we wanted (needed) for a very reasonable price.  Vince from Lima Campagna Alameda recommended them because I was trying to trim the costs down wherever I could.The Casket Store is an odd space to walk into.  Really minimal inventory in a decent-sized - but mostly vacant - storefront.  But James was extremely helpful and friendly. And he got us what we needed.  Again, very reasonable prices. Maybe not top-of-the-line, but likely better than Costco (I've heard of bad experiences with Costco caskets from multiple sources). As for higher-end caskets, really?  $20k for a solid bronze box you're never gonna see again?Anyway, The Casket Store definitely met our needs, and maintained contact with Vince through the whole process.  Thanks!

James at The Casket Store is the person to see when dealing with funeral and/or cremation arrangements.Sadly, we were unexpectedly in need of cremation services. James took our call and was able to meet with us within an hour. He was clear, knowledgeable, and professional -- explaining everything that needed to be decided. To simplify the process, he had some of the paperwork pre-filled from our initial phone conversation. James talked us through multiple decisions. He explained how to get death certificates. James had an excellent recommendation for a boat charter for scattering ashes. He even arranges for the permit you need to honor a loved ones wishes to be scattered. This Casket Store location is owned by two caring individuals. The whole experience was pleasant (despite the unpleasant circumstances) and streamlined, and didn't feel like a big corporation trying to upsell endless options. We definitely weren't taken advantage of, even if we weren't thinking as clearly as normal.If you have to deal with cremation or funeral planning, you will be relieved and completely at ease working with James

I have gone here 3 times. They are the best. James is so kind and understanding. Was non stressful and very easy to do.
