    My son had a bike accident in that neighbor community parking lot and the executive director(Marife Duewel )s car was hit by his bike. She shouted on me and called 911 for his car damage not call emergency for my son hurts. I dont know how she deals and take care of seniors and why people will be trust her and her community!!! Where are we going that wealth and money more worth and important than human !!!

    My sweet Mom has lived at Villa Fontana for the past three months, and my brother and I are so grateful for the wonderful care she's received to date.  Ms. Marife appears to have created an environment where her talented staff members seem to take genuine joy in serving their Residents.  We have been so encouraged to observe stellar collaboration between staff members, and we've been thrilled with the prompt and proactive communication styles.Our sweet Mom's medicines are faithful provided on time, and her caregivers connect with her throughout her day.  I've been especially thankful for how often various staff members have been willing to offer insightful feedback and wise suggestions, simply based on how well they already know our darling Mom.  Their keen recommendations have proved to be most helpful.  Our Mom enjoys her meals quite a bit, and she's noted how much she appreciates the "camaraderie" present in the Dining Hall.  We've been elated with how often she participates in the creative activities on offer each day, and she has said that she appreciates "how friendly and helpful" staff members are.  She loves having her own little apartment, and we've been so pleased with how it has been maintained.  Her bed is neatly made each day, her apartment looks tidy, it smells pleasant, and the turn-around time for laundry and linens is nothing less than magical.Our sweet Mom has been living in an assisted living community setting since June of 2019 (primarily in another state), and my brother and I consider the past three months at Villa Fontana to have been more than we could have hoped for.

    I'm writing a review so people who are researching memory care facilities will have an informed review to consider. We had our mother here for approx 2 years (mostly through covid) and were finally able to move her out to a beautiful new facility thank goodness.Communication is poor--often no one picks up the front desk phone. Many messages including appointments were ignored--not passed on. My mother's bedroom was rarely clean when I came to visit--three times there were no sheets on her bed, garbage in her closet.Very dingy appearance--unhealthy food and depressing dining area. No activities for memory care patients--only the TV and sometimes a young staff member would throw a ball back and forth.There were many more upsetting interactions too many to list here. I do feel bad for staff that is really only looking for employment and probably want to help the elderly, but for the amount you pay here for memory care you will not see it in the quality of care, the environment or in the professionalism of the staff. I am not writing this to be vindictive towards VF as anybody who goes into the business of caring for elderly people is generally good hearted--I just want to share our experience. There are many beautiful & uplifting environments for your family member--I was very impressed with Cedar Creek in Los Gatos but ultimately chose Westwind in Santa Cruz--a lovely spot for my mom.Best of luck!
