Today, I walked by this shop and there was a bin of fabric outside that said grab bag. The store appeared to be closed and when I walked back by 30 minute later, the bin was still outside and the store still appeared to be closed. I assumed the bins were free and took 2. As I was walking to my car, I noticed a woman yelling and screaming and gesturing to me so I walked back to see what was going on. The woman said the fabric was not free. I told this woman I was sorry and said I thought it was free and so did the people walking behind me. I also said the sign was confusing but immediately gave the bins of fabric to the woman and said I did not want it then. As I was talking to this woman, I dropped a pair of socks I had purchased at 1/2. This woman asked me if I had also stolen these socks. This woman was so completely inappropriate and rude. I answered that if I was stealing the fabric, I wouldnt have brought it back and also that it was clear that the items in my hands had been purchased (the candles I bought were clearly wrapped). I know running a business is hard but calling a person who clearly was not stealing a thief is bad business:
