4/27/23: Dr. Zeng was great! Attentive & thorough! The exam by her & her assistants was extensive. They have modern clean equipment. Their chandelier in the front office area is sparkly. The staff in the front were lovely & very helpful. They made sure I got the most out of my insurance coverage. I chose a brand new glasses design that just came in from Tom Ford, made in Italy . Retro contemporary style. I was quite satisfied with my experience at Pacific Rims. I drove there, but I like how it's directly on a MUNI train line with a stop right in front of the store. I love West Portal!

Excellent service. Thomas when above and beyond to adjust my new glasses. He even told me if I need to adjust my old ones just bring them in and he will adjust it for me and I didn't bought it from them.

We are so lucky to have found Dr. Chan and Pacific Rims Optical about six years ago!  I was researching Ortho-K for my son's myopia control and Dr. Chan personally returned my call and patiently explained how Ortho-K works, and also discussed other myopia control options as well.  Due to her knowledge and professionalism, we decided to schedule an appointment for my son for an evaluation.  During the appointment, my son (age 11 at the time) threw a mini tantrum as he had never worn hard contacts and he didn't want the hassle of contacts.  Dr. Chan remained calm and patient, and allowed extra time for my son to adjust and decide if ortho-k was a good option for him.  Dr. Chan also said Thomas can show him how to put on and take off the contacts so it didn't seem so overwhelming.  Long story short, by the second day, my son was completely fine with wearing the ortho-k contacts, and his myopia has stayed stable for the last six years!  Without ortho-k, we suspect his nearsightedness would be much worse now.  So for parents who are looking for myopia control for their kids, definitely talk to Dr. Chan.  She is meticulous in her patient care, very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with!  Thomas and everyone on her staff is always professional and courteous.  My son is still doing Ortho-K and our whole family goes to see Dr. Chan for our check-ups!
