We love exploring Dan's place to see what he has selected to put on display.  There seems to always be something that will catch your eye and he will make sure to inform you as to its origin story or where he found it or how he worked to fix it up or make it shine.  We've definitely moved from browsers to purchasers after getting the lowdown and our apartment's stylings have been the beneficiary!  Go check it out for yourself, you'll be sure to find a piece you love for a fair price and a great explanation!

Dan is a creative genius.  His designs are unique, organic, and simply elegant.  He is a delight to work with as well.  He worked with us to design a garden wedding venue (our home), including all floral arrangements for the wedding day.  He worked tirelessly to create a magical day for us. I highly recommend Dan for any design endeavor!

This store is a hidden gem in the Lower Nob Hill area of San Francisco, and this becomes apparent the moment you walk through the door. Dan has transformed this unique space into a beautiful home decor shop, allowing him to showcase and share his passion for interior/garden design and local artists/products. Some of my favorite products that you'll find in d.zelen are the gold hand grenade oil candles and the Scents of San Francisco candles. The collection of antiques and furniture that Dan brings in to his store never cease to capture my attention, nor does his energetic and friendly personality.

d.zelen is the most unique interior design store I've come across in SF. It is not trying to be hip or conform to any particular fad, like many of the interior design stores I see downtown. Simply put, d.zelen is a great store. Here you can find antique and vintage goods and furniture, a good amount of mid-century modern pieces, as well as contemporary and locally-made art work. There are so many treasures to be found in this store, I don't even know where to begin. It is a great place to shop for your home and garden, but also for thoughtful sentiments and gifts for friends and loved ones that you will not find anywhere else. The art is spectacular too. I am very fond of it because much of it is tied closely to the beauty and native landscapes of our gorgeous state, CA. I must also add that I am crazy for d.zelen's collection of vintage barware. Dan Zelen stocks some fine and stylish stuff. Many of the items carry a spectacular balance of unique and classic, and are so beautiful that I begin to develop emotional attachments to the products I buy from here.
