The branch's conduct regarding the international money transfer to France appears disappointing. They declined the transaction citing my arrival after 2 pm, which is concerning. Additionally, when requesting to speak with the manager, they refused, citing the manager's lunch break. This lack of flexibility and refusal to address your concern promptly is unacceptable.

This branch is a great reason to stop banking with the BOTW! Victor Franco, you are not a good manager at all!

First of all I LOVE Bank of the West, whose employees (not at Mission St Branch) have done amazing things for me and where I now have a good chunk of change, preparing to buy a house. I visited this branch yesterday with a $4,000 check to deposit. There were no customers in the bank and only one teller. When I got in line (no other customers there), the teller suddenly slammed his window CLOSED with no explanation nor apology. There were no other tellers available. Not a glimmer. I looked about and waited. Eventually, after a short delay, I announced that I'd be going to Chase Bank a few blocks away for the deposit. "OK!" The guy says. I did so. Later I thought, why should I be treated like this? I returned to complain. The branch manager (like me, an older white woman) scolded me on the importance of patience and interrupted me repeatedly as I tried to explain the situation to her. 'WE ALL HAVE TO WAIT', she said. The problem was not me waiting, and I did have to wait in line at Chase to deposit the check. I am used to waiting as are most customers. The problem was total lack of service , and the problem was heedless rudeness- slamming a window when someone approached with no other one open, and the problem was crummy business practice- an open bank at midday, with no one available at all to serve customers, and the problem was management defending this cluster mess as normal and good. They do not get one star but two, because she apologized, though in a rather snarky and half hearted manner. I am personally unfailingly polite and always let people go in line with one or two items to purchase in a store. I don't need to be schooled on manners and patience by another seventy year old. THIS is how they treat customers in the poorer neighborhood? And some of us by now do have real money to deposit and invest! But that should not be a big deal. BWest, love you, but TRAIN your people here- thank you
