Horrible, horrible place. Please, avoid this place if you can. They had me sleeping in a living room, whereas everyone else got a bed. One of the house managers used me for my money. I still live with trauma of being treated so poorly here. Staff make fun of clients too; Ive witnessed it firsthand.

The care our family member received from the staff was exceptional! They listened attentively to her concerns and provided personalized treatment that yielded positive results. The entire team at the center displayed a high level of professionalism and made her feel comfortable and welcoming throughout her stay. The food was delicious and she enjoyed the atmosphere and outings the center provided. The experience and success from her stay has been life changing. She left with the tools needed to control life with a positive attitude. I would highly recommend the center to others.

I was at the residential home in La Jolla, Torrey Pines. I cant thank Mental Heath Center of San Diego enough. They saved my life!! I never knew of the modalities of therapy that was used but OMG- powerful! FYI: residential has a lot of rules including those concerning chores, medication management, visitation and group attendance. Its tedious and can be annoying, but it sure helped me keep to a routine, and I needed that! The AM and PM staff, my case manager, and Tony are tops at what they do. They are consistent, compassionate and genuine! Dr. Joe changed my entire medication and it worked!! Randi, Bree and Ms. Pamela helped me with direct therapy and they changed my life in profound ways. I owe them my life!! If you or a loved one needs help, MHC San Diego is definitely a place you should check out! Thanks everyone at MHCSD for bring me out of the depths of despair!! And with such kindness!
