Schindler Elevators & Escalators in San Diego

Horrible customer service! Technicians come and they guess the issues and never fix them. I have had to deal 7 years with a faulty piece of crap elevator and with customer backslash at our hotel. Every week we have people stuck on them and now the elevator has a mind of its own and operates when it wants to. Even our fire department hates them. You will pay for this dearly, Schindler. This is only the beginning.

The San Diego office never answers the phone! It's insane that I cannot get through and speak to someone locally. I've called corporate and informed them of their terrible customer service. I wish I could give them zero stars.

I am adding on because the saga continues if you read below you will see the constant problems with this company. Our elevator has not been working since Monday-a new elevator that they took months to do! the company has still not come out to secure the bottom floor were supposed to have keys they have not come out to repair each floor underneath the button panel exposed wiring and holes on each floor damage to the building and repainting has yet to be done. I spoke with Elaine who is supposedly the project manager and she was very rude and said she has the project as finished please be very very wary of this company it is the worst that Ive ever dealt with! Please pay attention to this review and read below it is now been four weeks since the elevator is running but they have not come back to install the security key to get into the elevator and to complete the final project no one will call us back, answer the phones or answer emails !!!!!!! Again they were supposed to start in April it was moved to May 16 and it took them 4 1/2 months to complete and its still not finished! I wish our HOA read these reviews before hiring this company. Our elevator project was suppose to be completed June 20th (today is August 3rd) and it sounds like we have 2-4 more weeks to go. Theyve left behind debris, the shaft has been left open a couple times & damage to some of the building. I would also leave zero stars if I could. Also our original start date was suppose to be April 1st but was pushed to mid May-now we are mid August and still dont have a working elevator. Here we are in September and no end in sight, still not complete!!! Today is October 24th, our Elevator has been running for two weeks but they have not come back to complete the project we have exposed wiring on each floor damage to the building this company is by far the worst Ive dealt with!

I live in a brand new building with three Schindler elevators. They are broken all of the time. 15 floors and again we have no elevator. The building is full of disabled and elderly residents who are now essentially trapped in their apartments. Last night that had to call FD for another resident caught on of the broken elevators. Better than last time when they made a man wait almost two hours in a broken elevator for Schindler to come out. Unreal
