I took the preparer course to receive my PTIN and become a tax pro. I learned absolutely nothing that assisted in helping me learn to file taxes. I paid $350 and there was no help with the homework to let you know you are filing a tax return correctly. I called and they would not give answers to the homework. The course just explains tax law but not how to complete a return. I successfully received my PTIN but then took the same course with H&R Block and the difference is astounding!!! I learned so much for only $150 that I cant help but be highly upset with Latino Tax Pros giving us Latinos a bad name. Block has given several case studies and examples with answers on how to file a return and other forms so that you understand the formula and how to use forms. You actually receive the answers so that you arent uncertain that the return was completed incorrectly. They also go through the homework line by line explaining how it is to be done and why. Please so better. This review was done by Desiree Ramos who took the course in 2021.
