image This place is why many of us fear mechanics. Took car in for a transmission fluid flush and was told transmission was going to be tested. Manager never mentioned that they charged 79.99 for such test, four hours later he calls me to tell my transmission had failed and I needed it replaced. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission, I was only doing for maintenance as my vehicle is 2012 toyota camry with 157k miles. Long story short do not take your car here. Manager is an untrustworthy fn LIAR! I got the car like the picture

Martin-Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Before we will perform a transmission fluid exchange we want to make sure that doing so will not cause harm to your transmission. Sometimes changing the fluid will cause slipping to become worse or loosen build up and particles can clog a shift solenoid, meaning your car would not shift correctly. Your fluid was black and you had a delay and shudder felt in several gears. We advised you of that and told you at some point in the near future you will need a transmission. Transmissions don't always fail right away sometimes they fail slowly. When that happens we are happy to help and offer the best nationwide warranty with 600+ Aamco locations! Regarding our Initial Vehicle check, we do charge $79.95 to check everything transmission related with your vehicle out, this includes: Pulling Engine and Transmission codes, fluid level and condition check, driving your vehicle and inspecting your vehicle on a lift for any external damage including suspension and linkage. Most automotive repair shops and dealers charge 1 to 2 hours of labor for this, we charge $79.95. I apologize that you think my manager lied to you by giving you the results of our inspection on your vehicle. We don't control the outcomes just report the facts as noted on your paperwork. Many times we find that this inspection leads to things not related to an internal transmission failure but unfortunately in your case everything externally was okay. We do have you sign a repair order at car drop off and provide you a copy that notifies you of the cost of the initial vehicle check. Regarding the floor mat pictured I will ask the technicians going forward to place a new AAMCO floor mat in vehicles if it becomes wet or folded up. image Came here for transmission service. 2 months ago. Told me.my brakes were bad and my sterring wheel was pulsating. After a few days Came twice for the loud squeeking and was told both times it's harmless. To this day still squeeks and I am going less than 20 mph . There is no didference in my braking either. So sad! I don't recommend this place to touch your brakes!!! ---C

image I came here to check out a rough idle and rough drive. I was told after the diagnostic that all my motor mounts were bad and that I need new control arms. Control arms okay I probably needed. Total came out ti like 2.5k okay valid. Turns out my car had a misfire and just needed a new ignition coil. All of that roughness was from a bad ignition coil not motor mounts. Why wouldn't this have been noticed in the diagnostic? Do they even look at the motor. I was iffy to go because I didn't know if they do look at motors, but hence the" total car care" I went. Let me just say if I were to spend that type of money and the issue persisted I would have been mad. If you are looking for a mechanic that actually has attention to detail and will fix the issue I would recommend the neighborhood garage. He will keep your vehicle driving and for the same price of a diagnostic which u don't have to pay if u follow through with the job. A move you won't regret.

image Bought a car for my kids graduation.
Car has been working flawlessly until I get a call saying dad the car won't go over 25 and gets the bucking crazy likes. So I took the car into a transmission repair shop in Elk Grove won't mention no names, but they advertise as being The Auto Experts. They said the transmission was ruined had metal flakes in it and I needed to get a replacement that was going to cost me over $8,000. I THEN took the car over to Brian and Janelle and the AAMCO Team and they diagnosed my car's transmission and found I had a faulty clutch actuator and the cost to repair it would be less than $350.00 to get my vehicle back on the road like it was before. It's good to finally do business with the company that's transparent and honest with their customers unlike others way to go AAMCO Team on Franklin boulevard. I'll definitely be referring you to everyone I know.
