My patio cover is beautiful. I am very pleased with the workmanship, colors, and overall design and functionality of the cover. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend CW Designs to anyone thinking about getting a patio cover!!

We discovered during the rainy season last Winter that our existing gutters and gutter screen covers below the patio cover leak directly in front of our patio sliding door. This Summer I began the process of removing the gutter covers in preparation to clean and seal them only to find the roof mount for the patio cover had pinned every cover (and the gutter mounts) to the roof. I reported the issue on September 4th in an email, and due to delays, miscommunication between their scheduling staff and workers and re-scheduling CW Designs finally sent someone yesterday to "fix" the issue. The technician was nice enough but after removing the bolts that fix the patio cover mount to the roof we found the adhesive used has permanently pinned the gutters and covers to the roof. The tech basically said we are on our own and nothing can be done.
My satisfaction has severely waned and I currently only recommend working with CW Designs if you are diligent and make certain you can properly maintain your roof and gutters by requesting they avoid pinning these parts of your home permanently. It truly shocks me that this has apparently not been an issue to any other customers such that CW Designs would be informed and avoid additional hassle, labor, cost and frustration for their customers. Additionally the huge delay means we have had multiple incidents of rain which made this job that much harder.
I attempted today to remove one of the 4' sections of gutter screen by cutting it out with a rotary tool as can be seen in the photo. If I ever need to replace the gutters, screens or even the roof shingles in the future the mounts for the patio cover will have to be removed, most likely by cutting them off completely and installing new ones. No matter what though this installation method is extremely destructive to the existing roof and gutters so I don't recommend you have any reputable patio cover installer use it.

Excellent experience! My wife and I just bought our first house this past April and decided we needed to cover the patio for the Sacramento summer. Online research pointed us to CW Designs and we couldn't be more pleased. Scheduling an appointment was easy and their professional design process was a breeze. Though a few setbacks with materials availability and a previous job extending through the next day of our appointment delayed the installation by a few weeks we have our cover now for the hottest part of the summer.
The quality of materials is evident at first glance. We chose powder-coated aluminum with a wood-grain texture in white and it looks fabulous. Our cover is half full-coverage and half lattice which looks amazing. The installation crew was efficient, friendly and very professional. They completely cleaned the work area when they were finished including sweeping the patio.
I highly recommend Clark Wagaman Designs for your Sacramento area patio cover.
