The practical solutions team were an absolute godsend in helping my sisters and I move my 90-year old mother out of her home of 64 years in California and across the country into a senior living facility. They helped with decisions on what to take, packing, arraignment for a shipping company that would have cost us 100s of hours and much emotional trauma. Not only that, but you can 100% trust them with your lived ones possessions. I cant give them a higher recommendation!

Practical Solutions honestly works miracles. They have filled a niche that's often forgotten...helping with the packing and unpacking that must begin and end a move. My wife's mother is 81 and was moving into Plymouth Village in Redlands. Part of Plymouth's service to move her in was bringing in Practical Solutions...and I cannot say enough about how valuable they are to whole process. For us, they unpacked, but they will also help folks figure out what to bring with them when moving into a smaller space than the one they're used to. Mary Jo was the supervisor, working with another associate named Uyen. Together they were able to unpack my mother-in-law's belongings and get them into place with a grace and a thoughtful touch that was literally the thing that made her comfortable with the new surroundings. We, as a family, couldn't have done it without Mary Jo. Her experience, her understanding and the gentle way she kept the process moving forward made her absolutely invaluable. With the care, the experience and the optimism that Mary Jo brought to the process, I'm comfortable saying Practical Solutions made a potentially difficult process work beautifully.

This is a very honest and detailed review. I will break things down to make it fair and easy to understand. We needed our pantry and kitchen reorganized. Cluttered was an understatement. Heres the good: Very communicative and empathetic Incredibly respectful and friendly No judgement Darlene was a special standout. Seemed to understand what we wanted and had a vision in her head to work with. The bad: 2 people working for almost 7 hours barely got the pantry completed.($100 per hour per staff person, so $200/hr) We were quoted 10 hours at $100 per hour but were not clearly told that it was $100 an hour per staff person involved. So that was a major point of confusion. The kitchen was untouched. Many items were left out and to be truly honest the pantry organization was lackluster. Yea its more orderly and organized but there is a lot of wasted space. The ugly: We were overcharged $300 which was very quickly resolved. Cathy the owner was great and very apoplectic. There was a lot of cleanup after that we had to do. Conclusion: If you need to pay for an organization service, ask many questions. Have a plan. Stay involved to make sure things stay on track. Again, great people. Their service seems better served to mass removals, hoarding nests and major/minor moves.less for smaller home organization projects.
