Mathew, I'm sorry to hear of your recent challenges with your Members 1st card. I'm afraid we don't have record of any instances of your card being blocked other than the instances where you have voluntarily blocked your card within the mobile app. Regardless, there are a few ways we can improve future travel with your Members 1st card. The first would be confirming we have your most up-to-date cell phone number on your account. When a fraud alert is triggered, a text is sent to your cell phone where you can choose to allow a transaction to go through rather than it being blocked. It sounds like you're not receiving those text messages and we'd like to make sure you more control over your transactions in the future. The second way we can help is by having you provide notice to the credit union any time you have upcoming travel. All banks and credit unions request travel notifications so adjustments can be made to your account to ensure your transactions due not trigger fraud alerts while traveling. Travel notifications can be provided to Members 1st through the mobile app or by calling us. If you frequently travel to the same cities or states, we can make additional adjustments to extend purchasing capabilities in these territories as well. Lastly, you can call Members 1st 24/7 to speak with our card services department to assist you with a blocked transaction, card dispute, lost card, and more. You may consider opening a travel card for your Members 1st account. Travel cards act the same as a second debit card on your account, and serve as a great back-up card for making purchases should your primary card become compromised, lost, or stolen. We do take protection over your account and card transactions very serious and utilize the latest technology and machine learning to keep your money safe.
