Experience like no other. I have breast cancer and needed to be seen immediately. They made me get my records. No one ever called me back. I called multiple times. I guess they were too busy. Not only that but they wont return my records. USC, UCLA, a better surgeon at cedars, all returned my records. This office does not care about their patients. Unbelievable negligence and horrific standard of care.

Dr. Shen is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and specializes in breast cancer treatment and surgery. My mom and I came here for a second opinion and we are glad we did. The first surgeon I went to where we waited 5 hours for a family consultation just to have him explain 10 minutes the procedure. It was a very annoying experience and caused a lot stress, not ideal for people who are looking for treatment.Our PCP recommended UCLA and we are very glad! Although we waited for about 1 hour to see the doctor, it was worth for a professional like her. Dr. Shen spent at least 30 minutes explaining everything to us, and when I attempted to jump ahead, she kindly put me in my place. I totally understand where she was coming from, as she is the expert who has 17+ years of experience and I only did my research online. She answered all our relevant questions and assured us of the best procedure possible. The staff there is good too. They spoke Chinese and I believe someone spoke Spanish there as well.Parking is $8 full day, and $1.25 per hour. You can find street parking across the street on Raymond for free. It gets filled up fast. Every thing went well and we are going to the follow up appointment in 1 week.

I am so glad that others have had such a great experience with Dr. Shen. I wish I had had the opportunity to as well, but I could not get past the front office staff, despite being told I needed surgery at the imaging center where my biopsy was done. Again, I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Shen. I only wish her office staff lived up to her reputation.

Dr. Shen is amazing. She takes her time with you. You never feel rushed. She answers all your questions. She is an excellent surgeon. My incision is amazing. She is very caring and knows all about breast cancer. I couldnt imagine going through this with any other surgeon! Her office staff and nurses are the best as well. You always feel welcomed and cared for. The way you are greeted and treated is like your family.
