Hotel Le Rêve Pasadena

EXTREMELY unethical owner & management. I made a reservation for 4 nights in advance. When I arrived, they told me the room was unavailable, and they DOWNGRADED me to a standard room. The office staff told me there was nothing they could do, and I had to wait for the manager in the morning. When I came to see the manager in the morning, he said I'd already accepted the room the night before and refused to move me. I've never experienced such blatant lying to my face before. When I told him I'd file a complaint with the BBB, he said "go ahead, I've seen the owner write letters to get them removed." When I asked him to move me to the room I reserved, he just walked away and closed the office door. When I called the front desk, they hung up and stopped taking my calls. I've never such unprofessionalism at a hotel ever. The rooms look nothing like the pics; the whole place is a dump. Right off the freeway, terrible neighborhood, I've killed multiple roaches already and the bathroom like flickers like a horror movie. ANYWHERE BUT HERE.

The pictures are false advertisement the hotel is not updated the hotel room are olden side and not with a picture show online whatsoever the blankets look like theyre from 1980

Not the most pleasant experience. Disappointing room & horrible service. Pool & HOT TUB closed for "maintenance" not even lobby coffee service. Rooms: 212 Positive: large room, 14" mattress very comfortable bed. However room reaked of bleach and to open door and window an hour, Yet faux laminate floor still dirty and feet were black when I tried to get in bed (took shoes off at door) Hard cheap towels, 1 face cloth, 1 hand towel, 1 chair at the table! (Good luck couples!) Most of the room recently remodeled but very old dated bathroom (toilet / shower area from 1970s (pink tile walls old tub) No tub stopper & broken, escucian backwards broken plastic toilet seat, cracked toilet tank. Toilet handle doesn't flush without removing tank cover. No sink stopper/strainer be careful not to drop anything into the sink. No kitchenette and sink, but no microwave so pointless use of space. Safety: Not too bad an area but not the best area at night. Some homeless. Walkability: Walkable to Metro End of the Tournament of Roses Parade Route (1.2 mile to Sierra Madre Blvd) A Target and a Denny's nearby Noteworthy details: Service is horrible. There is no maid service, supposed to be daily towel service, but it was a fight to even get a fresh wash cloth. Night front desk staff barely spoke English to check in Pool & Hot tub closed no notice on website quite a bit of road noise. Close walk to Metro for Easy access into LA, etc. Lots of freeway noise. Ran the fan all the time for white noise & freshen the room from bleach/chlorine smell 3 stories and I had late night elephants above me. Would NOT stay here again.
