Stayed here a couple of times last year, not going back again. The rooms are a huge issue. The electricity in ours didnt work properly; we had to call an engineer to get it to turn on. Staff told us we needed to constantly turn the fridge back on. Upon entering one of our rooms for the first time, there was hair and tiny pieces of French fries throughout the carpet. Some of our towels even had reddish/orangish stains on them, and the TV did not work properly. The parking garage is also not worth its price. The first floor parking spots are next to a dark secluded alleyway. One of my rooms was on the first floor, so I parked my car adjacent to the alleyway, and it was stressful trying to get to my car with some of the non-residents hanging around it. There was also no security or surveillance for those areas. We also stayed here during the beginning of renovation. Waking up at 9am to loud banging, not being able to access the pool due to construction, and even fire alarm testing both times we went, were a huge inconvenience. They also did not offer to compensate for the inconveniences. Check-in with the staff is also another reason this hotel is not as great as it seems. Our first check-in with Nohemy was amazing. She truly accounted for every request we asked for, despite the construction that was ongoing. Our second stay did not meet expectations. We were checked in by Janeen and it was extremely frustrating. The power trip on some employees are unbelievable. We were not greeted with a welcome like the guests before us. Any request we asked had to be countered with a smug clarification, that she couldnt provide that for us. She was also more interested in joking with her colleagues and gave us the cold shoulder/attitude when returning to finalize checking us in. Reading the reviews about her doesnt make her seem very credible when it comes to making every customer feel welcomed. Residence Inn is right around the corner, and Ive been staying there since these mishaps.

This was a pleasant surprise for a three-night stay in Pasadena. The rooms were spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The shower was better than most hotels, and the lobby was inviting. Reading the reviews, I was nervous about parking, but it turned out to be easy in-and-out access parking on the 5th floor of the garage, a short walk from our room. $22/night was honestly a value in the crazy over-inflated parking prices we saw elsewhere in Santa Monica, LA and San Diego. The pool was heated and we got a late March swim in, and the hot tub jets healed our joints after a long day at Disney. Tiffany at the front desk even went above and beyond to help our son after a small mishap in the hot tub. The hotel was a short walk to Colorado Blvd and close enough (maybe a mile) from the Gamble House and the Wrigley Mansion. We'll definitely stay here next time we pass through Pasadena.
