Emerald Iguana Inn

I loved my stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good communication. I loved the quiet setting of adults only nestled up in old trees and styled in Old California furnishings. Was a great quiet and rejuvenating retreat conveniently located near some nice hiking trails (driving distance)

We booked this hotel and were really excited about going. We tested positive for Covid and called them and attempted to reschedule our stay we didnt even request a refund just a reschedule. The owner was incredibly rude and refused to reschedule. We tried calling and they never returned our call. It seems like they dont care about their guests as they would rather us have visited with Covid than reschedule. I recommend staying somewhere else that has better customer service and is more understanding about inevitable complications that might arise. We even offered to show them proof of the positive Covid test

Those place is gorgeous. Our room was so cozy and homey that I immediately felt at home. Quiet, spotlessly clean, gardens are beautiful, I'm not sure I want to leave and I am sure I want to come back soon. I wish the bed was a little softer but that's odd very personal so no criticism.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! My wife and I came here for our anniversary trip and it was amazing! The Emerald Iguana is tucked into a quiet neighborhood and was perfect. The pool and jacuzzi were great. Our room was extremely nice and comfortable. We stayed in the Cricket 2 and it was rad. Two story room. Living room downstairs and king bedroom upstairs. Quite possibly the cleanest, most well appointed place I've ever stayed! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in lobby has a cute gift shop filled with crystals (kind of a specialty of Ojai), and other local items. My friend and I rented a suite (the Lily Pad) so we could have our own rooms, and there was a lovely kitchen and living room. One of the rooms was upstairs and there was a fabulous spiral staircase leading to it. We were right next to the pool and hot tub which is always a plus for me personally. We opted out of the breakfast, but there were still snacks, sweetie bits, and breakfast bars available from 7AM-7PM along with tea, coffee, and citrus infused water. It's not cheap (they have another inn at a lower price point down the road), but you are within easy walking distance of downtown Ojai. It was also worth every penny. If you go to Ojai, treat yourself to this lovely, peaceful inn. Nearby activities: There are some lovely restaurants that serve delicious food with high quality ingredients. I have stomach problems, but I didn't feel sick once. We ate at "the Duchess", "Osterria Monte Grappa " (recommended by the inn), and "Tres Hermanas Ojai". All were excellent. Safety: I felt incredibly safe. I didn't mind popping out after dark, which is normally a fear of mine. Walkability: Very easy to walk to anything in town. I'm not totally out of shape, but I also don't walk a lot and am an older person.
