Most people I know and from what I've read, frown at middleman agencies. However, I'm compelled to write a review for this stellar company because they saved my mom and I money, time and time again regarding car and property insurance costs.In addition, one of the agents there - Karwai, is extremely helpful in being approachable, knowledgeable, patient, quick, and being a great communicator in my mom and my discussions regarding insurance policies. Anyone new to or looking to get an insurance agency to assist them in navigating the headache that can be insurances, look no further - use Pleasant Insurance. They really do live up to their name.

Pleasant was a really pleasant surprise. my anthem cost was $1800/month a year ago, $1900/month end of 2013, 2100 in januaary. and $2400/month for March 2014.the people here found a PPO plan at anthem for my fam at $1500/month as of april 2014. (higher deductible, less coverage re meds).  anthem claims not to have received the payment so we paid again. they found the first payment after processing the first.interesting tidbits:-"covered california"  health policies not accepted by many doctors-anthem blue cross is rolling out a "New" PPO which is different from the old.not sure how, looks like healthcare will still be a rollercoaster ride.

no nonsense insurance agency in the heart of oakland chinatown( the neighborhood listing on yelp is incorrect).  they provide all types of insurance:  auto, homeowners, health, commercial, life, disability, workman's comp, etc.  they represent several companies so they can offer you the most competitive rates.  i have pretty much all my coverages with this agency.  for some reason, the map is not correct.  this business is in the heart of oakland chinatown...not west oakland. street parking may be a bit of a challenge but there is a parking garage two blocks away.  tons of good eats in the area btw.
