Titan Commercial-Retrofit

Amazing company!I have had some horrible experiences working with contractors. Price changes, unable to meet deadlines, horrible work, lack of communication, etc. I was already prepared for this to be the case with Titan but needed my property retrofitted. I am beyond impressed with their work ethic and professionalism. They took care of my retrofit from beginning to end. I had previously hired an architect to do the plans and that in itself was a horrible experience. I knew the plans were wrong and the way he wanted the retrofit to be done would be extremely costly. When I called titan they gave me another option and made better plans. They took care of everything and kept me informed throughout the process. They completed the work within the timeframe that they had given me. My tenants never had any issues. The parking lot was clean and available at the time they were told.I am very impressed with this company and the work they did. I highly recommend this them! Service: Commercial projects

Loved working with Titan! I was dreading the soft story retrofit process but was running out of time. After receiving at least 5 different bids, I chose Titan.   Their pricing was very fair and reasonable. Working with Elir and Wendy was amazing. They were always responsive, helpful and organized. They followed up when necessary and kept us up to date, they would even send progress photos! The building looks great and they even matched the paint job!  They actually finished earlier than expected. I can't believe I was dreading this project, Titan really made it seem so easy!  I highly recommend!

I have a 10 unit building in Valley Village Titan did an Earthquake Retrofit, I did contracting in my youth through college and Graduate school. I have dealt with many different types of contractors. These guys were reasonable, Professional and fast a pleasure to work with. Service: Refurbishment

Unfortunately, my experience and perception isn't positive. In addition to inheriting a piece of property recently, I also inherited the problem of needing to retrofit said property, and quickly. I'm green to contracting. I did as much research as I could in a short amount of time before choosing Titan. I obviously needed these guys. Titan was recommended to me by someone I trusted. Since this person is a property owner and comes from a family of property owners, I took their word as gold. This person spoke very highly of this company. Without going into too much detail, I'll say this, sharks come when they smell blood in the water. When you know better you do better. And unfortunately, I didn't know any better. Titan knew this. My ignorance caused me to make a very costly mistake by choosing them. The customer service was non-existent. Speaking to Elir was painful. I wasn't looking for anyone to be my best friend or hold my hand. However, at the very least, I expected understanding and guidance to make good decisions. I felt he was condescending and arrogant. He spoke to me as if I were a child when I asked questions. Obviously, I had no idea how the process of retrofitting worked, so naturally, I had questions. His "explanations" to my questions were meant to make me feel dumb and usually cold and disinterested. It's like asking a doctor what to expect during triple bypass surgery and they laugh at the fact that you don't already know. Anything positive I had to say about Titan was overshadowed by the poor customer service I received. I was excited to see the positive reviews for Titan on Yelp in the beginning. Reading them made me feel as if I were making a good choice. I was very wrong. Just a word of advice to WOC who may read this: do extensive research if you are single, haven't many male professionals in your life or simply know nothing about contracting. Contractors will absolutely take advantage of your ignorance and gender in this field. Sad, but very true. I let Titan do just that to me by allowing them to give me subpar service for the amount of money they require. When you're in a situation you've never experienced before, it's easy to become overwhelmed and desperate for answers and resolve. You then become easy prey to these "professionals". Be very careful.

My HOA Board/Cardinal Management hired Titan to do the mandated retrofit of our multi-building complex, and Titan increased the cost from the original quote and went overschedule. Despite this, the HOA Board/Cardinal Management hired them for a second project, even before the first project was completed, so it appears that they like Titan... However, this review will focus more on my personal experience. I had several problems with Titan entering my individual garage, doing shoddy work in there, and not communicating properly with me. As part of the retrofit, Titan tore down some of my garage's wall, and in that process they removed my garage opener button and wiring. This essentially broke my equipment. I was told that they would fix that, and when the wall was repaired and painted, I was shocked to see that they had put up wiring and a button but had done it terribly. For one, the button did not work, but the wiring was not straight, the flat staples squished the wire, and they didn't even use two screws to secure the button! (Pictures attached.) I was flabbergasted by how unprofessional the work was and looked, and I was assured that they would have another technician fix it later. I was not given a specific date but a window of when to expect a fix, and I was assured that this time a specialist would work on my equipment. I went away on vacation, and while I was gone, Titan entered my garage. But they did not fix the bad wiring or the button... Instead, they also ended up breaking another part of the garage opener. When I returned home, I was so upset that I told Titan they were banned from entering my garage and that I would hire my own repairman and bill Titan or my HOA. Instead of listening to me, Titan entered my garage AGAIN, but this time my surveillance system got a better video of their work... In the video, I could see that they sent in a painter to work on my garage opener equipment, and he was not skilled in that area whatsoever. I complained again to Titan about their lack of professionalism and repeated that they needed to stay out of my garage, which was still unlocked because the opener was broken.... The next day, you guessed it. Another Titan person went in there without my permission. Thankfully, I finally got an outside repairman to fix the damage and secure the garage so that Titan could no longer access the inside. I paid for this myself and submitted the invoice to Titan and my HOA for reimbursement. Status on that is pending. Services: Painting, Exterior painting, Paint indoors, Remodeling
