Red Lion Hotel Monterey

The first thing I noticed w as the dirty sheer drapes. The edges and hems were brownish yellow. I was afraid to touch them. You could hear everything as if the vaccine cleaner or the dog was right in your room. The other thing we noticed was that although breakfast (danish and coffee) was on the description there was never any danish provided or it was just gone early in the morning. The reason that was provided to my husband was that kids go in there early and take everything.bizarre. Never again.

Nice place.. wish it had fridge and microwaves. Location is great right across from Del Monte Mall.

This is a decent hotel. Nothing to fancy. The place was clean and orderly. The hotel is located next to a gas station so it might be a bit noisy at time.

I called the front desk to ask a simple question. Mind you, if you check for availability online, theres an option that says, double room, king bed. So I just wanted to CLARIFY if its a room with TWO BEDS or ONE KING BED. Tell me why the girl who answered my call said, its a room with two beds duh. So I told her nicely that I just wanted to specify since it was a little confusing. She then PROCEEDED TO LAUGH and said, What are you talking about? So I hung up and called again to talk to the manager because is that how you treat customers who were just asking a genuine question by laughing in their face? So rude and unprofessional over a question for what. Why would I want to book here if that was how I was treated OVER call.
