Monterey Surf Inn Downtown

One of the best hotels weve stayed in while on our stay in Monterey. Rooms are spacious, clean, and provide all you need. The best are comfortable, big tv, two dressers, huge counter space, and great bathroom. A/C is amazing. Double screens/curtains for privacy and deadbolt on door. Lots of room to move around and be able to actually set your stuff where you need it. Fridge/Freezer works great. Rooms: Spacious, comfortable, quiet, organized well, and the bed is comfortable, the pillows are even better. Nearby activities: Beach, mall, food places, gas stations, (pool will be done soon i hope!) walking trails, shopping areas within a 10 min drive. Safety: Deadbolts, double privacy curtains on windows. People are quiet and keep to themselves. Front desk is always attentive and in office for any needs. Walkability: 9/10, food places and the mall are both in walkable distance. Food & drinks: Many good places around here to eat. A few of them being walkable. Noteworthy details: Very comfortable to stay in. Very close to beach.

Checked in at 10 PM and walked into a DIRTY ROOM!! Squished dried blueberries all over the floor and on tv table, the bathroom sink and faucet was dirty with stuff left in the drain, and hand towel rack ripped off the wall due to renovations. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
