I would recommend this treatment center to any friends or family who also needed this kind of support. None wants to be in need of this kind of treatment, but if you find that you are, it's good to know there's wonderful centers like theirs.

Happy our family has a happy and healthy teen after putting them into treatment here. Some days it was hard to imagine getting to this point. We will be forever thankful for the staff here.

My son is sober for the first time in 3 years. When we came here we had nothing to lose and a son to get back. We would not have made it this far without them.

Keeping our child safe was our number 1 priority. The staff is very diligent and we knew she would be well taken care of. Things are going so well and the peace of mind that has been given to us is 100% priceless.

Please. Never send your child here. Not only are all of these reviews fabricated, the entire experience is offsetting.
First off, how do we know 90% of the reviews posted on here are fake? Well, the policy of beachside is to have 6 residents at a time, most are released on or after 3 months. So, assuming beachside has been open for 5 years x 6 clients x 4 months (since most stay longer than 3 months) x 3 (to make it 12 months) the highest amount of clients, which is most definitely an estimation, would be 360. Thus, the fact that every 2-3 weeks, someone is reviewing them, often accounts with zero reviews, implies that their page is falsified. It is virtually impossible for them to have as many reviews as they do since they only house a MAXIMUM of six clients at once. Clients do not leave after 2-3 weeks. Youre in it for the long haul.
I was a client here. It was by far the worst experience of my entire life, aside from the abuse I experienced prior to entering. Keep in mind, NONE of the staff that was there when I was there remains. They constantly fire their staff. This place is not safe for any teen. Parents, your child will be humiliated, develop negative relationships with food because it is incentivized, and have very little privacy. Your family will have little to no privacy. They host multi family groups where every other resident and their family know what your family issues are. There is no sanctity of mind. You have to put on a mask to survive. My motivation to get better, was to get out of there. Even that was a struggle. I was ready to go home a while before they released me. There were only 3 residents including me when I was ready, and they would not release me on the basis of monetary needs. I was told this by a staff member who no longer works there.
Punishments include not getting certain desserts, not getting to play games, not being allowed to talk to your parents (that time is already abysmal at a staggering 10 minutes a day, they literally give you more time in hospital mental wards), as well as having to face the wrath of the clinical director (who may not work there anymore based on what Ive found. If Lucy still works there, absolutely stay clear of her. She is not a good influence and is quite hypocritical. She will repeat behaviors she tries to explain are negative, and is just not a good person. She will pin clients against their parents and ultimately cause more issues.
Please parents. Look through every one star review. Theyre all cries for help. Its nothing against treatment in general. There are plenty of good programs. This is NOT one of them. It is a complete facade that will leave more scars on your family than what you came in with. Please. Take your child somewhere else. Somewhere where they care and will nurture your child.
