image Our daughter is 3 years old and currently in her first year at WPC Preschool. She has been thriving ever since she was enrolled. Teachers Bertha, Irma, and Lugie are so caring and nurturing. It is very noticeable how hard they work and ensuring that your child is having a great and enriching experience. Parents also receive updates and photos on the classroom activities every week. I really appreciate the emotional regulation emphasis they have in their program. It is much needed at the toddler stage. In addition, any incidents and messages are communicated in a timely manner. We also participated in the Parents and Me sessions led by Director Bri. She is fantastic, genuinely cares for the kids, the preschool and getting to know the parents. We have another daughter and look forward to enrolling her in preschool when she is old enough.

image We are so happy with our decision to send our boys to this school. Bri, the director, is one of the most thoughtful and caring humans you'll ever meet, and the teachers here have far exceeded my expectations. They are so warm and caring and clearly right where they belong, working with children. I love reading the weekly posts and seeing pictures of my kids at play, and appreciate how much thought they put into nurturing their little hearts and minds. I particularly love how much freedom my kids have to explore in the yard, with water, sand, and countless other activities. We love the community as well and will always cherish our time here. Thank you WPCP!

image We've had a great experience so far with Westwood Pres. Preschool. We transferred from another local school, and I am so thankful to be at WPCP. It's inclusive and diverse, and has a great community feel. The teachers are incredible - loving, nurturing, and supportive. The teachers and the director are very responsive to parents' questions and concerns. It's play based but also has great structure around themes week by week, and the kids spend a lot of time outside, which is so important at these ages. The families are nice and  down to earth. WPCP feels like the nursery school you went to as a child. I highly recommend exploring WPCP!

image Our daughter is in her second year attending WPC pre-school, and we have enrolled her for a third year before she heads off to Kindergarten. We are very happy with our experience at WPC. It is a wonderful school with exceptional, professional, and caring teachers. All of my daughter's teachers have taken the time to really understand her and make her feel loved. They provide a play-based curriculum that focuses on every child's academic, emotional, and social growth. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone who works at the school. They always have a great variety of indoor and outdoor activities for the children that change throughout the week and target different learning goals like scientific exploration, fine motor skills, emotional intelligence, ect. The school's outdoor space is large and has a great play structure which is perfect for my very active little girl. The teachers also send parents weekly summaries and pictures of what the students have been doing in class that week. I love these updates and look forward to going through the pictures with my daughter and listening to her excitedly tell me about what is happening at school. WPC pre-school is open 7:30am to 5:00pm, which is really important for our family with two working parents. In the afternoon they offer extended day enrichment programs like sports, dance, martial arts, and music. My daughter comes to school every day excited to explore, learn, and play with her friends. We love WPC pre-school and highly recommend the program!

image We had been on the waiting list for this preschool program since 5/22, and received my sons acceptance email for 7/23, when he turns 2. A tour is required to get on the waiting list. When I toured last year, they were only offering virtual tours. Based on the presentation, the preschool offered a curriculum that was amazing. The director seemed to have enthusiasm and a love of education. The teachers meet often for additional training and continuously work to improve the program they offer. My partner and I had no qualms about the stellar education he would receive here. There's also a summer program and extra curricular activities. Tuition is the same for all ages, but varies based on the hours of attendance.Once we received his letter of acceptance this year, we wanted to take the opportunity to physically tour the facility before enrolling. The day of the tour, we were met at the gated parking lot by a friendly security guard. He opened the gate and gave instructions of where to park, and enter. We parked by the playground, which was small, but had everything a playground needs. There was also a mural painted on the back wall. We entered into a small auditorium area, and sat again through the 1 hr informational presentation portion of the tour. There was an opportunity to ask questions. Upon completion of the presentation, we toured the facilities. To summarize a few things, all of the classrooms we entered were very cold. One of the parents mentioned this, but not much was said as to why. They were also small, based on the number and size of the children. There were many cabinets in each class, painted flat light blue. Activity centers with items that could use repainting or replacement. There were areas with linoleum flooring and carpet. The carpet did not look very clean and very well loved, and could probably use replacement. The classrooms had windows, but didn't open up the spaces enough to make them feel larger or bright. Some of the classrooms appeared to be in a building/structure that reminded us of an old motel. Two levels with doors out to a balcony facing a parking lot. We went to a few classrooms, with walk through, open toilet areas, and very tight hallways. Some classrooms are up steps, and others down steps, with no seeming rhyme or reason. We saw some of the projects the children were working on, and listened to them discuss what they were learning. We ended the tour out on the playground, which once close up, the mural appeared to be nice at one point in time, but was in needed repainting/repair. Its best days had past. The area also seemed a lot smaller than it appeared from the lot. The end of the tour provided additional questions to be asked. To note, the school will be breaking ground on a new building, but will not be complete for at least a year, once started, which we were informed has been years in the works, and the construction site would be incorporated into the children's learning. We decided not to have our child attend, only because of the age and condition of the building. That was a deal breaker for us, based on the tuition we would be paying. It didn't make financial sense. In this price range, the facilities should be newer, or better maintained, fresh and bright, as well as warm. We were quite disappointed, because we really loved everything about what this preschool offered. Don't take my word for it though, tour for yourself, and maybe this would be a good fit.
