I feel obligated to warn you of what could happen to you at NVISION by sharing with you my experience with Dr. Pirnazar.
I am 55 years old and I had pretty good eyesight at 20/40. I went to see Dr. Pirnazar in Jan of 2020 to learn more about my options for improving my vision. He greatly sold me on the PanOptix lens, telling me this is the greatest lens, you might get a little rings around lights but they go away in 2 weeks. I was not at all warned about what could and did actually happen to me, nor was any other lens discussed with me.
Feb 7, 2020 I had surgery for cataracts even though I didnt actually have cataracts, but being told this was the way to improve my vision I went ahead. I did get 20/20 vision based on an eye chart, but it ruined my night vision!!! I saw at least 20 rings on every light! I drew pictures for Dr Pirnazar and brought pictures from the internet to show him how bad my surgery eye saw things! I mourned the loss of my 20/40 natural lens! No longer were nights beautiful. I went to his office in tears. He just kept saying it will go away. It did not. I began reading forums on this PanOptix lens and discovering the horrible results people had. I also had a terrible shaking of the eye and felt like there was a twig in my eye. I was in great despair! I saw Dr. Pirnasare 5 more times in 4 months and asked to have the lens removed, each time he told me I would never remove this lens for glare and halo, your eyesight is too good. He wasnt hearing me, nor was he hearing my despair! I truly felt my life was over at night. My only relief came when I closed my eyes. I began searching for a surgeon that would listen to me, and be skilled enough to remove the lens and replace it with something that would work for me!
I finally found Dr. Mahootchi, a dedicated doctor that heard my despair and was skilled at removing a PanOptix lens. He told me that he removed PanOptix regularly. He said a good doctor doesnt have so much pride in their work that they cannot remove the lens if it isnt right for the patient, and that a good and skilled doctor should be able to remove it.
I found out he was all the out in Zephyrhills, Florida! But even during a pandemic, and being across the country, I took the long journey because that is how much despair I was in! To feel hopeless is a horrible feeling! To feel dismissed by your surgeon and unheard, and trapped in something not right for you is extremely cruel, especially when it comes to your vision! I am beyond grateful for Dr. Mahootchi, who heard my despair and told me I didnt have to live with my night vision ruined! He took such great care of me and removed the PanOptix and replaced it with the Crystalens on July 7, 2020 and I now have 20/20 vision in that eye with beautiful night vision! No more shaking of the eye and it feels great! I cant even put into words my relief! I know God led me to him as he didnt want me living in the horrible despair I was in! As a patient, be careful of Dr. Pirnazar who will not hear your complaints or rectify them. Cataract surgery is very serious. You need a doctor that will listen to what you are seeing. No doctor will see what you do. This is why it is so very important to have a doctor that truly listens and cares about you and will spend the time necessary to give you what you need. You also need someone that will present all the facts to you and not disregard the seriousness of the possible outcomes, as well as give you all of your options. Dr. Pirnazar is not that doctor.
Below are drawings and photos that I brought in to show Dr. Pirnazar. Whatever color the light was, that was the color spiderweb with rings I saw. An absolutely horrible experience with so many lights at night. To have no regard for a patient seeing this is quite cruel.

I recently got the procedure done on Thursday. Upon arriving, I was checked in by Veronica, and she was super friendly, making sure to answer any questions that I had before going to the back. After checking in, they did all the prep stuff before heading into the procedure. Dr. Pirnazar spoke with me and explained the process before he started and walked me through it as it was happening. Made sure I was doing ok; doing so helped me stay calm through the procedure. I sleep the entire day, which I was expecting, but the next day I woke up and was able to feel normal like I have "permanent" contacts on. I just have to get use to not grabbing my glasses every morning. I am highly satisfied with the outcome, and if you are thinking about it, go for it; you will not regret it.

The protocols and procedures was painless and fast. I psyched myself out more than what it actually was. Eyes were numb so I did not feel pain at all. Doctor and nurses were calm and professional. Didnt even get to small chat, that's how fast it was. Next day here I am 20/20 vision un both eyes. After 20 years of glasses and contacts and all the bull, i can wake up and just see everything for the first time. Dont second guess this just get it done.
