MaidPro La Verne

MaidPro is extremely reliable, easy to schedule, and very responsive to changes and other special instructions. Olivia -- the scheduler -- is super easy to communicate with. We've been customers since we moved to Claremont 12 years ago. While the quality does vary somewhat across cleaners on staff, I have never had a _bad_ experience. The standard of service is very high and well worth the expense.

I used this service for a move out clean on a 750 sq foot apartment. The apartment was empty and already swept by me. I was quoted a four hour $350-400 for service, which is a little high, but I thought, stupidly, that would indicate they would do a thorough job. Sadly, no. The person showed up on time, and she was a nice person. However, that's the best I can say about the service. In four hours, she partly cleaned the two small bathrooms (but left grime and dirt on the floors and around the toilet), vacuumed but missed an entire bedroom, mopped two floors, partly, but not fully, wiped off the kitchen counter (but left stains), and wiped out the oven. The two bedrooms were not mopped, and one was not vacuumed. She did not clean off windowsills, left cobwebs everywhere, did not clean inside cabinets (a job I specifically asked for), and when it was "done," she said she could stay for more cleaning (and more money for them), which I could not afford. I live in an area where there are wealthy people, but alas, I am not one of them. I think now they thought they could increase the cleaning time by cleaning slowly, which was completely a terrible thing to do. Basically, I have to now decide if I should re-clean myself or take the hit on my deposit. At the end, there were still cobwebs, by a very industrious spider as I had moved out nearly three weeks before, and she expressed confusion on how to get them down when I asked her to do so, despite a vacuum cleaner with an attachment sitting outside. I want to reiterate that this was a 750 square foot apartment, completely empty, not horribly dirty, but in need of a good, solid cleaning, which I did not get. No claims of "it was more than you told us" are realistic here since it was exactly as I told them, and within four hours, should have been spotless. I feel ripped off, honestly, and pretty depressed about the whole thing. At the end as well, she had a very tiny bag of trash in a little grocery bag, mostly cleaning stuff, and she didn't want to take it to the dumpster in the parking lot, 25 feet away, because her car was "out front." I took it to the dumpster myself. It was just a really depressing experience. I will post photos later, if I can, of the cobwebs, the counter, the windowsills, etc. Updated: Someone at Maidpro did get in touch with me about coming back to do more cleaning, but unfortunately, this was a move out situation, and my time at my old place was up. I went back and did as much cleaning as I could, and it was pretty bad. Then, after I told them I had to finish today, they still charged me $320. I guess they thought they did what they could. In cleaning some more, I also discovered she did not mop either bathroom floor or vacuum them. Service: Moving-related cleaning
