This review is long overdue! My daughter attended Grey Rabbit starting in August last year until she started kindergarten this fall. She still tells me all the time that she misses Mrs Almond and her preschool. Grey Rabbit stayed open even at the beginning of the Covid pandemic and I was so impressed by their cleanliness routines and how they were able to teach little kids about social distancing and infection control. The staff is amazing and I am so thankful for the learning and social skills my daughter picked up. It made the transition to kindergarten a breeze!

My son has attended Grey Rabbit for 2 years. It has been a wonderful experience for him. I would recommend this preschool to anyone. Great staff who actually enjoy working with kids.

Mrs. Almond and her staff are beyond phenomenal - they are saints in my book! My son went there for 3 years and while we are excited for kindergarten we are going to miss Grey Rabbit very much. My son actually ate all of his veggies at school thanks their wonderful cook! The care and attention that these women provide to the kids is beyond all expectations. Every single day they go above and beyond and they're always doing special activities with them - Winter and Spring programs, beach trips, water play days over the summer and every Mother's Day and Father's Day we got thoughtful homemade gifts. I am so thankful that my son got to spend 3 of his formative years in their care - he has grown and learned so much and I know he will thrive in kindergarten thanks to them!

We had our daughter at Grey Rabbit for a year, in Miss M's class. In that short time, she grew and learned SO MUCH... she came home singing songs, full of stories and facts, bearing projects and gifts she'd made while she was there. We are moving away from La Mesa, and one of the things we will miss most is having our daughter in class here.The people at this preschool love what they do. They are endlessly patient, nurturing and diligent. The place is clean, bright and inviting-- from the first day, it reminded me of the little preschool I went to nearly 40 years ago in Seattle. They are community-minded, hosting fundraisers for Rady Children's, encouraging the kids to be good citizens and stewards, taking the kids on field trips to local parks and trick-or-treating at local businesses, and bringing local families together to share support and resources. I really cannot say enough about them. THANK YOU!!!

It's kind of a family business, and this is what makes it great.. the teachers are all from the same family so you feel the harmony between them and the kids. Excellent in all aspects. I had a bad experience with previous preschools which traumatized my son to the point he didn't want to attend school at all, but he now asks me to take him to the school even on weekends. We love it!!
