Stillwater Cove Campground

We love this campground and have stayed here countless times, but lately things have changed. The lack of drinkable water has been going on for years without any appearance of movement to fix. Some sites are great, some are extremely close together, especially when 95% of everyone is camping in their RV or van. The recent addition of power hookups will transform it even further. Seems to me drinkable, safe water should be the top priority, not spending a huge amount to add electrical hookups to an already expensive campsite. At nearly $50/night with 12% tax and $10 reservation fees, warm showers are not enough.

The camp host was friendly and the site itself is quite nice. Quiet although close to the road, lots of space between sites, and everyone I met was friendly. The hikes on site were BEAUTIFUL, but I turned around on the longer one before summitting because my dog was acting off. We heard mountain lion calls the night before, so I decided to trust him. Im rating it 3/5 because a tree, very quietly, fell while I was relaxing and reading. The campground showed obvious signs of trees havent fallen recently because there were cut up logs all around. With the wind and rain, people should know the risk theyre exposing themselves to. Theyre lucky it didnt fall on a tent or person.
