        When I was a child, I loved going to Woolworth's mainly because I could always find something for 5,10 or 25 cents. Now, I LOVE going to Daiso. Most items are $1.50, and I can always find something I like. Each visit is like an adventure! The stores are always clean with a great variety of merchandise ranging from practical and functional to frivolous and fun. I especially like the colorful displays and sometimes puzzling "Jinglish" slogans on some merchandise. You can find everything for automotive to zen at Daiso. Update 11/2/22: Most items are still $1.50, the store is amazingly clean and it's still a good shopping experience! Update 3/29/24: They have raised most prices to$1.75, some items cost more. I like this store because it's always clean, well-stocked and, from what I can see well-managed.
