J & J Quality Construction Inc.

J&J Quality construction was $2500 more expensive than another bid, however because of reviews I chose them. That is why I write this review to warn you. Keep your receipts and be your own GC to watch over the job you thought you paid for. The Bathroom project headed by Robert, was mostly handled by phone after we agreed to hire J&J construction (leaving out quality as I have three holes and glue on my brand new $11,000 Shower). He would call or text my wife that a sub would be at our home at a certain time. Initially we were sold that the GC would take care of the project. As the project continued more and more we were called and asked to coordinate with the subs more and more, while we thought the project had been clearly laid out to the requests we has made and the GC would be handling the site. A simple walk in shower was the project. The issues began when Clovis Glass was the sub. The agreement was for a walk in shower without frames. After the shower guys left, we get a phone call form the GC that they want an extra $800 to do the frameless and that the budget in the bid only covers a semi framed shower. Why was the quote for what we asked for not inclusive of this amount? The GC tries to blame us that minds get changed all the time and we must have changed our minds. Not once did we change our minds and if we did, we would communicate with the GC. Come to find out he did quote for what we asked for, a walk in shower. The glass people did a full enclosure with a door. SO of course the extra glass pieces fameless would cost more. But we still though we were getting semi framed one panel walk in shower. Nope we got a Framed Door. Next came the part to fix it. The GC wanted me to pay for the fix. I said, no, and we finally agreed that J&J would fix the shower door, but I reluctantly said look, I wont make you fix the holes in the shower that this mistake made. So guess what folks, I am stuck with a brand new shower with holes filled in with grout. "it looks the same as travertine" is what the GC sold me on. I'll get pictures up soon and you can be the judge of that. But guess what else, if you don't keep your accounting straight, they will still bill you. Yup, I ended up paying more than my bid and have three holes in the shower wall and glue marks on our tile from the glass that never should have been installed that they cannot get out. I wasn't going to write a review, but to then charge me more than the bid, when I should have actually paid less as the glass I wanted was less than the allowance on the bid. That put me over the to provide others with a warning. Update, the extra cost was a change order to install the shower wand.

Great experience with Robert and his team. They took care of any questions I had. They were always here on time and professional. The guys went the extra mile. Will def be using them again.

We contracted with J & J Quality Construction for our small bathroom remodel. We were very pleased with every aspect of our project from start to finish. Robert and his team were extremely professional and made sure each phase was done to a high standard of quality and workmanship. The J & J team were very accessible when questions or needs arose and worked effectively with subcontractors to get the job done as efficiently as possible. The estimate was competitively priced, and we feel we got a great value for our money. We would recommend J & J to anyone looking for a quality home remodel.

Excellent work on my bathroom. Timely, professional and very easily resolved the very few minor issues we had. Polite, professional workers who CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES!!! Problems were anticipated and resolved ahead of time. Helped up with design decisions by helping us understand the pros and cons of every decision. Will be using them again next year when we do our master bathroom.

Great communication, clarity on pricing and the cost of change-orders was always clear and transparent, The cabinets look great and feel high quality, and they had quality sub-contractors. Finished bathroom remodel looks great!
